VII. Background and Rationale:
DepEd Order No. 42, S. 2017 states that the Philippine Professional
Standards for Teachers (PPST) shall be used as a basis for all learning and
development programs for teachers. As teachers, understanding the Philippine
Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST) policy is crucial for them to grow and
flourish in the teaching profession. Teachers must be able to grasp assessment as
an integral part of the teaching and learning process that allows us to track and
measure learners’ progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
In this regard, the Maripipi National Vocational School will a conduct a three -
days IN - SERVICE TRAINING (INSET) on PPST Module 10: Design, Select,
Organize and Use Diagnostic, Formative And SummativeAssessment Strategies
Consistent with Curriculum Requirements. The aim of this 3 days training - workshop
is to enhance the current practice of designing, selecting, organizing and utilizing
assessment strategies among all teachers.
VIII. Objectives:
This training aims to meet the following ends, to wit:
1. To be able enhance teachers capability to design, select, organize and
use diagnostic, formative and summative assessment strategies consistent with
curriculum requirements.

XII. Program Description
The following are the program description of the IN-SET:
1. This In-SET in intended for the 31 JHS and SHS teachers and 1 school principal
of Maripipi National Vocational School.
2. MOOE fund shall be utilized o defray expenses for the entire duration of this IN-
SET.
3. To be conducted this October 21-23, 2019 at Maripipi National Vocational School.
XIII. Expected Output
After the training the participants are expected to:
The JHS and SHS teachers of MNVS will be equipped with the different
strategies in crafting Pre-Assessment, Formative Assessment and Summative
Assessment.
XIV. Monitoring and Evaluation:
The conduct of the training will be monitored and evaluated by the District and
Division MonitoringTeam as to quality implementation of the School-Based In-SET
on PPST Module 10: Design, Select, Organize and Use of Diagnostic, Formative
Assessment Strategies Consistent with Curriculum Requirements
