OMB Saleri has developed a new automatic CNG cylinder valve called the ESA to meet requirements for heavy-duty applications, high-flow refilling, and extremely low temperatures. The ESA features a compact, ergonomic design that reduces weight and dimensions while still allowing for high flows. It also includes an innovative excess flow limiter, new patented internal layout for high flows, glass bulb temperature and pressure relief device, and double o-ring system tested down to -55°C to ensure sealing at low temperatures. LAYOUT FOR HIGH FLOW
To enable high flows in both refuelling and
activation of PRD with a 1’’ 1/8 UNF tank
connection, OMB developed a unique and
innovative solution structured with independent
metal pipe arranged concentrically
GLASS BULB TPRD
We have selected a glass bulb TPRD to maintain
compact dimension and to assure immediate
activation
DOUBLE O-RING SYSTEM
To assure the best performance at the low
temperatures, OMB has developed a new sealing
system with two o-rings with two different
compounds.

Our leak testing with this system have reached a


temperature of ‐67.0°F (-55°C)

The double o-ring system has been implemented


for all the sealing points of the valve (see
diagram):
• Solenoid
• Manual tap
• TPRD
DOUBLE O-RING SYSTEM
The main oring is the standard Viton FKM
compound currently in use on OMB valves with
the operation range of -40.0° F (-40°C) to 32.0ºF 
(+85°C.)

In addition to this o-ring we have added a second


backup o-ring in a special FVMQ Fluorosilicone
compound that has its best performance at the
very low temperatures .
