Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Pagadian City Jail-Male Dormitory

I.Authority

1. After Activity Report as mandated thru J/SINP FE A GALVEZ, Warden, Pagadian City
Jail- Male Dormitory dated 15 October 2019, as subject above.

II. Chronological Order of Events

2. The Community-based program Alternative Learning System conducted their regular ALS
Classes to 16 PDL in the Elementary level and 22 PDL in the secondary level of this facility held at PCJ
chapel and visiting area of this facility. The activity was headed by our ALS mobile teacher Mr Brian
Caprecho, Mrs Leticia Romarate. This activity helped our resident learners to be academically, mentally
and emotionally developed as part of their rehabilitation program. The activity was closely monitored by
the Chief Welfare and Development Unit. J02 Sheila Marie C Piogado together with JO2 Evangeline D
Ramos WDU JNOR; Classes are scheduled every Tuesday at 0900H-1200H.

III.Observation

3. During the proper ALS class the duty Jail officer SJ04 Gerardo A Sabuero ensure the
safety and security of the activity to end without any incident happened. Further, the program
helps the PDL to achieved education even behind bars.

IV. Recommendation

4. This kind of activity helps the PDL to use their time productively. Moreover, program
and activities that is beneficial for the PDL is a good set of example to let them feel humane safe
keeping and development.

5. ALS class ended at about 1200H of the same day with no untoward incident happen.
Attached herewith are pictures of the said activity for your ready reference.
