                (Creative Writing)
 “To write means more than putting pretty words on a
page; The act of writing is to share a part of your soul
                   with the world.”
Wordsmith urges you to don your creative cloaks and
unleash the power of your expression by conjuring up
an exquisitely imaginative piece.
RULES:
1. One participant per school.
2. Eligibility: Classes XI-XII.
3. Time Limit: 30minutes for preparation + 60 minutes
    for writing.
4. Word Limit- 600-750 words approximately.
   Participants will be given a topic on the spot.
 Usage of books, dictionaries and electronic gadgets
             for reference is not permitted.

                 MÈLANGE
                   (Mixology)
“One needs to be an all-rounder to win the game of life”
Have trouble putting yourself in a box? Witty, analytical,
 strong, nimble, creative? Don’t know where you ‘fit in’?
         Well, probably because you ‘stand out’.
The dauntless survivors of these gruelling tests
will go against each other in a final battle of
agility and stamina.
RULES:
1. One team per school. Each team comprising
    6 participants.
2. Eligibility: Classes X-XII.
    Further details will be given on the spot.
            CHIAROSCURO
               (Canvas Painting)
    “This world is but a canvas to our imagination.”
 So tap into the power of your imagination, force this
  inert medium of paint and canvas into a record of
    your emotions and bring a blank canvas to life.
RULES:
1. One team per school. Each team comprising 2
     participants.
2. Eligibility: Classes IX-XII.
3. Time Limit- 2 hrs 30minutes.
             Topic will be given on the spot.
 Canvas will be provided. All art supplies and essentials
       are to be brought by the students .Art work
    presented by the students should be their original
                         creation.

                  METAMORPH
                  (Best out of Waste)
     It’s all a matter of perception! For some people things
 degenerate, but for others, it transforms into something new.
To create something useful and appealing from scrap is an art
  in itself. So folks! Widen your vision. Pause. Contemplate.
                               Begin.
RULES:
1. One team per school. Each team comprising 4
   participants.
2. Eligibility: Classes VIII-IX
3. Time Limit: 2 hours.
The participants will be provided with waste material but they
            must carry basic stationaries such as
     scissors, tape, glue, pins, cutters, as well as some
                 embellishments if required.
JUDGEMENT CRITERIA:

3. Neatness
4. Overall Impression.
NOTE: Materials brought from home will be checked
before the event.
                MOVIMENTO
               (Short-Film Making)
  The most dominant aspect of magic is illusion and
 what's better than a film to capture prosaic mundane
   reality and turn it into breathtaking illusions to be
  marveled at. So fellow magicians, bring forth your
 magic, throw on your magical robes, hold steady your
       lens and create a hypnotic mirage for the
            COLOURS OF THE CARNIVAL
RULES:
1. One team per school. Each team comprising 2
    participants
2. Eligibility : Classes X – XII
  The participants are supposed to bring their own
   cameras, laptops, data cable devices etc.Further
            details will be given on the spot.

                     (Group Dance)
                  “Dance is a poetry of the foot.”
It is the poetic bearing of the soul through music. It reveals all
 the mystery that music conceals. So, let dance express what
   your voice cannot. Dance from your heart and let passion
                          shine through.
RULES:
1. One team per school. Each team comprising 8-10
participants.(No narration required)
2. Eligibility: Classes IX-XII
3. Time limit: 7 minutes (inclusive of entry and exit).
 Exceeding time limit will lead to negative marking. The music must
    not contain any inappropriate words. Participants should be
 decently dressed. Indecency will lead to disqualification of the
  team. The theme will be given to the participants on 3rd October.

                    SHIPWRECK
                 (Battle for Survival)
  “Survival is the ability to swim through strange waters..”
          Will you be the one to make it out safe?
RULES:
1. One team per school. Each team comprising 4
   participants.
2. Eligibility- Classes X - XII
ROUND1
Think you’ve got lady luck on your side? Then come forth
and battle out your wits to enable your comrade to get on
 board.Three members shall participate in the QUALIFYING
 ROUND based on general knowledge. If qualified, the
4th member shall make it to the final round ON-STAGE.
ROUND2
In the final round, the participant going on stage will have
to engage in a war of words to prove why he should be
“THE ONE” to get the last life jacket on the ship. The most
 eloquent and the most convincing character on board,
makes it out alive. The “character” will be given to the
participant an hour prior to the event.

                RAZZMATAZZ
                      (AD-ZAP)
    Are you the kind of person who notes ingenuity in
   advertisements? Are you the person brimming with
     marketing ideas and waiting for your chance to
                      showcase it?
 You can now zap everyone's mind with your imagination
and innovation. Let your creativity meet marketing skills
to come up with an ad that makes everyone vie for your
product.
RULES:
1. One team per school. Each team comprising 5
    participants.
2. Eligibility: Classes X-XII
3.Time limit: 3 Minutes
4. Execution can be in English or Hindi.
 Use of abusive language will lead to disqualification.
     Product will be given on the day of the event.

                  WAR OF DJs
“It’s not what the equipment does, it’s about what you can
                do through that equipment”
If you can make the audience groove to your music and
‘dance to your tunes,’ this event invites you the DJ to
recreate the beats of the songs and make the audience
swoon over your own interpretation of songs. With the
audience as one challenge and the competitors as another,
War Of DJs is the perfect platform for those whose
perception of music is extraordinary.
RULES:
1. One participant per school.
2. Eligibility: Classes XI to XII
3. Time Limit: 5 Minutes
    10 songs will be given at the time of registration.
   ONLY THE SONGS GIVEN SHOULD BE USED

                CHANNEL SURFING
           (Dialogue Making and Acting)
   Haven’t we all flipped through channels while watching
    T.V.? It’s time to lend a quirky twist to channel hopping
                               now.
If you have what it takes to tickle the bones and make the
audience go ROFL, we urge you to win over the crowd with
your wit and timing.
RULES:
1. One participant per school.
2. Eligibility- Classes XI - XII
Participants will be shown video clippings from different
channels. After a pause of one minute the clipping will
be replayed with audio muted. Participants will have to
       deliver dialogues using their own creativity.
  Use of any kind of abusive language will lead to
                     disqualification.

              COUTURE CAVALCADE
                (Walk the Ramp)
                 Fashion fades, style remains.
  Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak.
  Couture Cavalcade presents before you, an opportunity to
   mesmerize everyone with your style, éclat and creativity.
RULES:
1. One team per school. Each team comprising 10
      participants (9 models + 1 narrator)
2. Eligibility: Classes X – Xll
3. Time Limit: 7minutes (inclusive of entry & exit).
    Exceeding time limit will lead to negative marking.
Background music is allowed, however it must not contain
any inappropriate words. Participants should be decently
dressed. Indecency will lead to disqualification of the
team. The theme will be given to the participants on 3rd October.

1. Panache
2. Gait
3. Costume
4. Relevance to the Theme
Note: - All teams are requested to bring their own source

                           RULES AND REGULATIONS:
1)Registration of schools begins at 7:30a.m. Participants are expected to
reach the main school gate at the allotted time.
2) The inaugural programme will begin at 8:30a.m.
3) Participants of various schools should be dressed in blue/ black jeans
and white shirt / t-shirt.
4) All schools must be accompanied by a teacher /moderator.
5) Participant and audience passes must contain the teacher moderator's
signature and Sacred Heart Convent School’s stamp.
6) The participant must carry his/her pass at all times inside the school
premises.
7) Following registration, if a student leaves the school premises before
the closing ceremony, he/she will not be allowed to re-enter.
8) No student is allowed to participate in more than one event.
9) The schools should submit their music for the event Zephyr and
Couture Cavalcade in a pen drive at the time of registration. The pen drive
should have a label with the school name mentioned on it. Teams are
advised to carry a backup with them, in case of a technical error.
10) Participants of Couture Cavalcade are allowed to report by 3:00p.m.
11) Decision of the judges will be final.
12) Last day for submission of the participation list is 3rd October . A hard
copy of the participation list can be sent to the school or it can be sent via
mail on the following e-mail id: linkupcarnivalshc@gmail.com The
themes for Zephyr and Couture Cavalcade will also be given on 3rd
October.
13)Participation fees- Rs.150/- Audience pass-Rs.250/-
14) Misconduct on part of any student of any school will lead to
disqualification of that school.
