General Guidelines

1. Complete the title page with all necessary student details and ensure that the
signature of the student is marked in the declaration form.
2. All assignments must be submitted as an electronic document in MS Word to
the LMS (Use 12 Times New Roman script).
3. Assignment that is not submitted to the LMS by the prescribed deadline will
be accepted ONLY under the REDO and RESIT submission policy of
Westford.
4. You will PASS the full assignment task only if you achieve “AC Met” in each
of the Assessment Criteria.
5. The results are declared only if the student has met the mandatory
attendance requirement of 75% and/or a minimum of 50% under extenuating
circumstances approved and ratified by the Academic Director. The student
has to repeat the module (with additional fees applicable) if the attendance is
below 50%.
6. The assignment should not contain any contents including references cited
from websites like www.ukessays.com, www.studymode.com,
www.slideshare.net , www.scribd.com.

Assignment Task
Assessment and Grading:
This assessment is based on achievements in learning outcomes 1, 2 and 3. In order to
pass, all criteria identified in the assignment with reference to learning outcomes of the
module must be met.
Questions to be addressed in completing the Assignment Task:

For every individual, it is necessary to possess some personal and professional skills to
enhance their knowledge and to perform well in the organisation and in their daily life. To
identify or justify yourself, and to know where you stand, answer all the questions below
related to your professional development in the organisation where you are currently
working or choose an organisation of your choice where you have worked before/ would
like to work in future.
Answer the following questions:
1. Use appropriate methods to evaluate your personal skills required to achieve the
strategic goals of your organization.
2. Based on opinions / understanding about your own self, apply techniques to
assess the professional skills required to support the strategic direction of your
chosen organisation.
3. Carry out a skills audit to evaluate the strategic skills needed to meet current and
future leadership requirements in your chosen organisation.
4. Identify your current learning styles and apply appropriate techniques to identify
preferred learning styles which will help you in future.

5. Construct a personal development plan for the ensuing 6 months at least or
beyond, that meets leadership development requirements identified in the skills
audit done by you while answering Question 2.0.
6. Based on your personal development plan made by you, use suitable methods to
assess the outcomes of this plan against personal work objectives that you
desire to accomplish.
7. Evaluate the impact of own learning against the achievement of strategic goals of
your chosen organisation.
The submission on the LMS is in the form of an individual written report. This should be written in
a concise, formal business style using single spacing and font size 10, using an appropriate font,
Ex. Times New Roman or Tahoma. You are required to make use of headings, paragraphs and
subsections as appropriate, and all work must be supported with research and referenced using
the Harvard referencing system. Caption all figures and tables. Please also provide a bibliography
using the Harvard Referencing System. The minimum recommended word limit is 3000 words,
although you will not be penalized for exceeding the total word limit.
