OPENING PROGRAM
Ladies and gentlemen, let us welcome our four competing teams, wearing their respective
team colors.
Entering in our Nabas Covered Court is the:
Team 1, wearing violet t-shirt to represent their team. They are the descendants of the great gods
and goddesses of Greece, the band of heroes who conquer different quests. That despite the
dangers, temptations and uncertainties of their journey, they will continue to accomplish their
mission. Fighting for these battles of strength and mind, let us welcome, D’ Argonauts!
Team 2, wearing their black t-shirt to represent their team. They are the assaulter, a word that
describes a person who attacks another physically. They believe it requires both physical and
mental attacks in order for them to reach their goal. That in spite of the negative meaning of their
team, they will assure they will give a good and fair fight. Let us welcome D’ Assailants!
Team 3, wearing their Maroon t-shirt to represent their team. They are the conqueror of the
universe that will bring a great catastrophe to their mortal enemies. They were born to destroy the
underdogs and to cast the inferiors to restore the greatness of this world. Let us welcome D’
Apocalypse!
Team 4, wearing their navy blue t-shirt to represent their team. They are from the powerful,
majestic and competitive races who win different battles to prove their strength and power. They
aim for the victory of this fight to bring honor and pride for themselves. Let us welcome, D’
Asgards!
I. Prayer,
To our dynamic and indefatigable School Principal, Ms. Chadea L. Manikan, our ever
supportive and loving parents, our energetic students, participants, fellow teachers, and to our
most welcomed visitors, a pleasant morning.
Intramurals are the perfect opportunity to highlight camaraderie, sportsmanship and talent.
It teaches us the value of teamwork, the ability to work well with others and to engage participants
in the athletic activities that broaden their skills and challenge their abilities.
And to begin with, may I request everyone to please stand. Let us seek the guidance of our
Almighty Father thru a prayer to be led by Mr. Jude Conanan.
II. National Anthem, and Hymns
Now let us give honor to our nation as we sing the National Anthem to be conducted by
Ma’am Juvy Guevara. Requesting our dear School Principal, Ms. Chadea L. Manikan, to raise our
Philippine Flag and she is to be assisted by Mr. Reynard Jimenez, our School’s Sport Coordinator.
For our Aklan Hymn, Nabas Hymn, and WAA Hymn, may I request Mr. Edilberto O.
Castillon, our Guidance Coach, to raise our flag. He is to be assisted by Ms. Gryzy Mae Guevara,
our SSG President.
III. Words of Welcome
At this juncture, let us have Ms. Gryzy Mae Guevara, our SSG President, for her words of
welcome.
IV. Raising of Team Banners
Energy and excitement is surging from everywhere and everyone. Well then, let us put
their energy and excitement into excellent by witnessing the raising of Team Banners.
The banner serves as a physical reminder of the dedication and hard work of our student
athlete’s demand of themselves throughout the course of the season. All members of the
community, past and present, are able to feel the sense of accomplishment when the official banner
goes up. It is believe that, the flag which was raised first will be the overall champion in this year’s
Intramural Event.
At this moment, may we request all the team captains and advisers to lead the raising of
team banners.
*Well, let us see partner if whose team will be the winner’
(and now We will raise our team banners at the count of three, one, two, three.....)
There you have it, ladies and gentlemen, let’s give it up for the four competing teams.
V. Oath of Amateurism
Sports Competition is essential to the well-being of the students. Sports instill how to win,
how to accept defeat, how to interact with other people and how to mold them to have desirable
character traits that is vital in achieving success in the future.
At this point, ladies and gentlemen, we have here our own pride in the last Western Visayas
Regional Athletic Association 2018, a Silver Medalist. Let us give a big round of applause to Renz
Aldrin Bandiola for the Oath of Amateurism.
VI. Lighting of Friendship Torch
At this juncture, we will witness the lighting of the Friendship Torch.
Exactly, and we have the right people to do so. May we call on the Western Visayas Regional
Athletic Association Athletes and the Team Captains of every competing team for the lighting of the
torch. Let us give them a resounding applause.
The torch-lighting ceremony links the modern games with Ancient Greece, conveying a sense
of continuity and an air of responsibility and authority. It also represents a sacred truce and the
flame in the cauldron would burn throughout the games as a sign of purity and peace.
VII. Message of Formal Opening of Hinampang 2019
At this point, let us hear the statement of our beautiful and dynamic School Principal, Ms.
Chadea L. Manikan, to formally open this special event. Let give her a big round of applause.
VIII. Words of Acknowledgement
And for his words of Acknowledgement, may we call on Mr. Reynard C. Jimenez, our School
Sports Coordinator, lets give him a resounding applause.
