JOB DESCRIPTION
• Create and animate 3D models on a computer, usually in exploded parts views. Uses
programs such as AutoDesk Inventor to model and animate.
SKILLS NEEDED
• Artistic talent, communication skills, computer literacy, creativity, time-management, and
especially patience. Modeling usually takes the bulk of the work.
DUTIES NEEDED
• Use computer programs to create animations and edit with feedback from director or other
person.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• Usually have a bachelor’s degree in fine arts, can gain experience from self-study.
SALARY
• Between $40,800 and $124,000 annually.
OUTLOOK
• Tough competition for job openings, but higher chance if artists specialize in something.
