Nstructions OR Amshaft Earing OOL: I F C B T

This document provides instructions for removing and installing camshaft bearings using a camshaft bearing tool. The tool consists of an expander assembly, expanding drivers, driving washers, and other parts. To remove bearings, the proper expanding driver is selected and inserted into the expander assembly. The tool is inserted into the bearing housing and tightened to remove each bearing. To install bearings, the expander assembly is reduced in size before inserting bearings one at a time and driving them into place. Proper driver selection and tool operation are important to prevent damage.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Note: The alignment of cam bearing bores can change as an engine
block ages and in some cases the bores can get out of round.
When new bearings are installed in such a block, the camshaft may
be difficult or impossible to install properly. Small amounts of
warpage may be corrected by scraping the bearing but large
amounts need to be corrected by align boring or honing. Either of
the above conditions may make cam bearings difficult to install
and may result in damaged bearings.

Step 5 - Place nylon cone in first bearing housing and

drive bearing out. Loosen driver assembly to relieve
