BACKUP AND RESTORE(WINDOWS 7)

Note: backup and restore will be done on the


windows 7 client and the files will be
back-up to the shared server folder.
-Windows 8 uses file history as backup
-Windows Server 2008 r2 uses server backup

1. Create a file in the desktop or any location


2. access backup & restore via start type backup
3. In the backup menu navigate to change settings
4. click save on network
5. in the network location browse the shared folder
in the server
6. Click the shared folder
7. Supply Admin credentials below
eg. username: SPUSURIGAO\Administrator
password: Spus@ict2016
8.Click next
9. Select let me choose
10. Locate the file or folder u created make sure that
the file is the only one selected.
-uncheck Include system image
-click next
-save settings and run backup
11. Delete the file / folder
12. Access again backup and restore via start
13. Click restore my files
14. click browse for files
15. locate the file and Restore
16. Check the file
17. Exit
