1. Load Excel.

2. Enter the title Concerts.

3. Under the title enter the following column headings:

4. The first heading Venue should be left-justified. The other headings


should be right-justified.

5. Under the Venue heading enter the following row labels:

Cardiff Bristol
Leeds York
Lancaster Glasgow
Dublin

6. Enter the following data:

7. Insert a footer with your name left aligned and today’s date right
aligned.

8. Save the data and print the spreadsheet.

9. The Leeds venue is no longer available but an alternative is found.


Change Leeds to Eastbourne.

10. Increase the width of the Venue column to display Eastbourne in full.
The Eastbourne Hall Cost is £1550; amend the cell accordingly.

11. The Glasgow concert has been cancelled. Delete the row for Glasgow.
Make sure you do not leave a blank row.

12. Use a formula to calculate the Total Cost of the Cardiff venue.
Replicate this formula to obtain the Total Costs for each of the other
venues.

13. Calculate the Maximum Income for Cardiff. Replicate this formula to
obtain the Income for each of the other venues.

14. Calculate the Profit/Loss for the Cardiff venue. Replicate this formula
to obtain the Profit/Loss for each of the other venues.

15. Provide a printout showing the formulae that have been used.

16. Add a new column after Artist Cost and before Total Cost called
Admin Cost. The heading should be right-justified.

17. Enter the following data:

Cardiff 1200
Bristol 1050
Eastbourne 450
York 890
Lancaster 1200
Dublin 1600

18. Adjust the formula calculating Total Cost to include Admin Costs for
all the venues.

19. Display the data in the Ticket Price column to two decimal places, all
other numeric data should be displayed in integer format.

20. Save and print the spreadsheet.

21. Close the file.
