Introduction

In today’s generation, it is clear and visible that students are

giving their best in everything whether it is extracurricular or academics.
In school, high grades are important. Students nowadays will do their
best in order to have a high or even good grades.
However, bad lucks and misfortunes are inevitable. Despite of the
fact that students are giving their best, there are still students whose do
not manage to pass their subjects.
There are reasons or factors that students are not able to pass
their subjects. These are inability to prepare, lack of focus, time
management, less perseverance, negative attitude, lack of confidence,
over confidence, lack of thinking capability, fear of failure and
carelessness (Wills, 2017).
In this study, researchers are aiming to know the number of
students who failed their core and specialized subjects. A lot of researches
and studies are going on the relevance of our gradation system in schools.
There have been various discussions about the advantages and
disadvantages of gradation system in schools. This area is a vital one and
it needs to be studied seriously. In debates, to stop or continue this
gradation system is one of the hottest issues in the past few years.
Grades are created in order to inform the parents about the performance
of their child. This is to be done with utmost attention and care and
without any prejudice or partiality. It is a very private thing;
unfortunately, it is done in a public way.
