CONSTRUCTION LOGISTICS PLAN
1. Site Condition
The adjoining traffic and facilities already in operation shall be taken into consideration during
construction, while measures to minimize construction nuisance shall be adopted.
Amana and its personnel, subcontractor or suppliers individual shall fully adhere to the logistic &
traffic regulation within the Site.

3. Site Establishment & Logistics Plan
Securing suitable construction access points on site will be a priority. Construction access points is
identified and presented on the next few pages and which will be regularly maintained throughout
the project duration. Construction traffic routes shall be regularly coordinated with the local authority
and surrounding works/contractors to ensure works progress smoothly in line with the construction
schedule with little or no disturbance to the existing facilities/works. Main site office shall be
established to accommodate the Employer Representative, Engineers and Contractors staff. Stand-
alone infrastructure including power, water, sewerage, IT requirements and parking spaces shall be
constructed to facilitate the main site office.
The proposed logistic plan layout under Figure 1 -2 details the proposed site access ways, internal
traffic flows, operation(lifting, shifting of materials),site offices, storage areas and other site facilities
that will be implemented by Amana to facilitate the proposed phased construction. (Note: A clearer
layout is shown at the end of this section).

4. Site Facilities and Storage
Detailed site layout showing all temporary facilities needed for site offices, stores and wood/bar
bending yard etc. Offices have been prefabricated cabin type erected on site for the Contractor’s,
Client, Consultant and subcontractor’s staff.
On-Site Worker Amenities
Facilities has been erected and maintained to suit the needs of the workforce. These facilities
have been erected at the location as shown on the Logistics Layout drawing and these will
include toilets, adequate shaded rest area, , mosque, potable water, washing facilities and a
segregated contained smoking area. These facilities was constructed in accordance with the
industry and welfare guidelines and are in excess of the legal requirements which demonstrates
Amana’s commitment to provide a safe and adequate environment for our workforce.
Store Areas (Civil & MEP)
A store area has been established to accommodate the materials in and out from the site for
both the main contractor and the MEP subcontractor in addition to other subcontractors requiring
a store area. The stores are located close to the main entry to ensure tight control of all materials
entering the site.
Unloading Areas
Unloading areas is formed in line with the construction progress. These areas are change as the
project develops and will be managed by the site team. Lifting equipment for the unloading of
delivery vehicles will be used regularly. Subcontractors and suppliers can request certain timings
with the construction teams for lifting appliances. All materials being delivered directly to these
areas will be unloaded using the relevant lifting appliance and will be delivered to the workplace.
No material will be stored outside the allotted area unless given prior approval from the site team
and in the event of materials being stored outside all material will be fully covered and secured
in accordance with the Manufacturers or Supplier recommendations.

Site Security
Security watchman shall be deployed on site round the clock. The construction site shall be
fenced along it’s perimeter as shown on the Logistics layout. External lighting, if required, shall
be fixed to secure the perimeter of the project. The temporary fence will be maintained and
removed upon the completion of the project.
Gate pass or ID card will be issued to all subcontractors to control the unauthorized entry at site
and one extra security person will be assigned to accommodate the visitor from gate to office.
5. Access Management

All vehicles entering the
development will be directed to the dedicated areas as shown on Logistic Layout Plan. A
restricted amount of Personnel vehicle for staff will be allowed to park within the Project Offices
Car Park.
Main Contractor shall keep driveways and entrances serving premises clear and available to
Employer, Employer's employees, and emergency vehicles at all times. Contractor shall:
a. Schedule deliveries to minimize use of driveways and entrances by construction operations.
b. Schedule deliveries to minimize space and time requirements for storage of materials and
equipment on-site.

Access Control
The Site Security Team shall report directly to the Construction Manager and they are
responsible for the control and regulation of all Vehicles and Labor entering the project. They will
be in constant communication with the traffic management team whom will authorize when
deliveries are allowed to leave the holding are and the allowed access to their unloading location
point. The Security Team shall control all the Staff and Labour movement in and around the Main
Access Gates to ensure a coordinated flow of personnel through the security checkpoint.
The primary responsibilities of the Security personnel include:
24 hours per day / 365 days per year management of all the access / egress locations on
site providing Security for the project.
To regulate the safe and clean condition of the entrances ensuring free flow of traffic through
these locations.
To control and monitor all project traffic procedures and policies.
Collation of all Vehicles passes applications and passes production.
Meet and greet VIP’s and visitors ensuring visitation and safety procedures are adhered to.
Carry out routine internal and external patrolling of all site boundaries.
Coordinate all Security requirements with Employer and Engineer.
Provide relevant reporting deliverable to the Employer and Main Contractor teams.
Assist and aid the Emergency Services and local Authorities in the event of any accident or
incident.

Gates and Security Locations
The security will be based at the entrances/ exits of the Project and at the each buildings and
the offices, to control traffic flow and to deter unauthorized access to areas of the project and will
check the delivery passes to ensure the drivers are accessing the correct location and to advise
of any delays in unloading. The Gate and Security locations are shown on the Logistic plan.
Entry gates will be the only point of access where all Pedestrians will enter the project. Visitors
and Vehicle passes will be issued at gate and directed to HSE engineer for induction, so that all
new starters on the project will have their site HSE and orientation induction before entering the
project.
Visitors Access
All visitors will report to the Security reception at the Main Gate and collect their passes before
entering the project. Visitors will be guided through pedestrian walkways to the Project Office
compound. The visitors will be asked to leave a copy of the photographic identification upon

arrival which can be collected when departing. A record of all visitors coming to the development
will be kept and can be issued to the Employer upon request as a part of the daily & monthly
reports. No private or personal friends of employees are allowed onto the project at any time.
Vehicle Access
There are restrictions on vehicle requiring access to the project. There will be very limited parking
on site for staff vehicles. There is no parking permitted outside the project. Staff and Contractors
will be encouraged to car pool or use public transport.
Pedestrian Access
Pedestrian access will be from the above mentioned Gates at the location stated on the Logistics
and Traffic Management Plan. When required, busses will transport the labors at drop off / in
dedicated areas located within the construction site. These routes will constantly change during
the construction phase of the development. All parties who will be affected by these re-occurring
changes will be notified in conjunction with the infrastructure works. If required, concrete / plastic
traffic barriers will be placed alongside routes that provide a risk to pedestrians to provide
sufficient means of traffic segregation.
6. Power and Temporary Services-Utilities
Temporary Services Strategy
A Temporary Service Plan, primarily considering the reticulation of temporary Water and
Electrical services throughout the construction areas will be developed for the project. The
Construction Team will look to obtaining the earliest use of the temporary power and water supply
from permanent services.

Construction teams will request for temporary small works such as lighting to floors, temporary
power supply, construction water supply, re-routing of other temporary services, construction of
temporary offices and other non-permanent works through the Logistics Team. Adequate
number of portable fire extinguishers shall be distributed throughout the Project and Offices
areas as per Civil Defense Requirements.
Power
Temporary power will be designed in such a way to ensure redundancy is incorporated from the
start. We intend to use generator sets during the initial construction. Suitably sized generators,
with Diesel Fuel Tanks and SMDB’s will provide power requirements for lighting, power tools,
stores and site offices. There will be two generator sets for the project. One generators for site
office purpose and one for site requirement
The temporary power network will be progressively installed and maintained as the works expand. The
temporary power will be extended across the project so that a distribution board will be no further than
30m from any point in the building. The cabling will be installed so that it may be removed progressively
as areas are finished without adversely affecting the completion process.
All electrical panels and distribution boards are manufactured and installed in accordance with
relevant local codes and standards and company / industry wide accepted standards. The Site
Safety Team in conjunction with the Project Logistics Team monitor and test the electrical safety
of the generators, distribution boards and the installation in general at set periodic duration. The

Lighting-Temporary lighting will be provided within the building area by fluorescent light fittings
positioned to ensure sufficient lighting is available for access throughout the building. Externally,
access and general lighting will be provided by 400 w & 1000 w halogen light fittings
Supplementary lighting will be provided by standalone lighting tower when extra lighting is
required for night time activities.
Chemical Area
All chemical materials will be stored in adequate cool, dry and ventilated area and MSDS will be
provided at chemical storage area.

Water
Potable Water is provided from external sources and delivered to the project site on a daily “as
required” basis. The deliveries are stored in onsite storage tanks located around the project site.
Water levels are monitored for filling purposes by the Amana Logistics Team (Store Keeper).
Six big water coolers are located at project 4 nos. are fixed at workers welfare facility and 2
nos.are located in front of RMPM.Emirates Gate Transport is supplying water at site which is
also using for curing.
The Construction Team will look to obtaining the earliest use of the water supply from permanent
services. When possible a permanent connection to incoming supplies will be carried out and
reticulated. A detailed Temporary Services Plan will be development showing the locations of
the water storage tanks and the potable water drinking stations.
Temporary services shall be established at site to support construction activities and associated
staff, workers and subcontractor’s facilities. Water tanks averaging 10,000 gallons capacity shall
be positioned with pump sets at specific locations in the construction site to allow circulation of
water for construction use and drinking.
Waste Segregation

Re-use suitable earth materials to backfill trenches
Plants & Equipments
Mobile cranes are currently at site 3 nos.
All plant operators will have 3rd party operator competency certificate
All plants equipment will have 3rd party examination certificate
All lifting accessories will have 3rd party testing certificates
One person is assigned to do inspection for the plant equipements in regular basis to check
their doucuments validity.
