For my music video, I am going to be using:
       Forest/woods
       Field/green plain
       Conservatory/dining table
       Bedroom/living room
       Porch/door
       Roads/alleys/rocks
       On a pier (performance)
I want my music video to start indoors, where the teenagers feel trapped with their work,
and then as they go on their journey they explore through the outdoors and end on a field
which represents their freedom. Kallum with a K will perform on a pier throughout the
video.
The first shot in my music video is of the singer, Kallum with a K, walking up
the pier where he will perform for a further five shots throughout the video. I
decided to use the pier because not only is it an outdoor environment which
shows his connection with nature (which is also reflected through the actors
finding happiness amongst this too, representing our singers journey), but it
is also a relaxing, calming place where he is able to reflect upon his journey. I
felt that this was a good place to show him thinking back on the past and
how he got to where he is now.
In my first seven shots of narrative where the teenagers are working and looking out the
window, wishing to be outside, I am going to film this in a
conservatory. This will not only give me bright, natural lighting
onto them and the dining table, but it also overlooks a garden
which means that they can look out of the window and really
long to be out there. This also means that I can pan around the
window, showing the outside they yearn to be in. For the next
eleven shots I used the room behind this, which is a living room,
for them to get ready in as well as a hallway in a house to show
them leaving. This will create a feeling of verisimilitude and realism as though they are really
                                       leaving their home.
When they are running away, I wanted to use different roads for them to run
down so it looked as though they were going on a journey into the woods. I used a
road which is surrounded by housing and I also used a road in Danson Park. This
meant I was able to show them leaving their homely environment and going into
a nature-filled place. This led them into a small grassy area where they can run
across rocks before heading to the woods. I felt that this lead into nature added to

the journey and by having the teenagers run across the rocks it
highlights the differences between what they are used to and
what they are now experiencing. It also represents that there
were difficulties they had to go over to get to where they are.
There could be members of the public here so I will have to try
and go during a time where it may be quieter or when people
may only appear in the background like passers-by.
Next in the narrative they will arrive at the woods. This place is where they feel naïve
and as though they are like children again. They go through
a through troubles which are represented through their
stick fight and the way they are separated, however they
run back together and continue through their journey
together. I decided to film this in Bursted Woods because I
felt that the woods here had a lot of space to run and move
through alongside many trees to surround them. I need to be careful to make sure
my filming from here seamlessly fits to the next shots at Danson Park.
After this they will arrive at Danson Park which I am going to use
because it is a wide, open field which will represent their freedom.
Danson Park is so big that I am more likely to be able to have less
people in my shot even though it’s a public space. This field has
many trees around it which will hopefully make it flow seamlessly
                       from Bursted Woods.
