Current Job Summary :
Project: Qatar Metro Rail.

Oversee the work areas to ensure it is safe and free from any hazards for all workers,
engineers, management, visitors and public. To coordinate with all Engineers regarding the
expected work activities in order to plan in advance proactive safety measures to eliminate
any possibility of accidents or incidents. Conduct safety induction to all new workers for
them to understand safety requirements of the work place. Conduct weekly toolbox meeting
to constantly remind the workers that correct attitude in the work place is necessary to
prevent accident/incident and delays to the project.
Reports and assists the Safety Manager in enforcing safe work practices and to remedy
immediately any unsafe working conditions present at the work place without stoppage of
work. Review the method statements of any work activities and ensure that safety
procedures are not compromised.

Job Responsibilities :
 Assist Site Engineers Supervisors Foremen Workers and etc., in implementing the
guidelines given in HSE plan.
 Ensured all employees to comply with all relevant legal safety requirements.
 Prepared and conducted site internal health and safety audits to assess the effectiveness
and reliability of health and safety management system and suggested corrective actions.
 Taken a proactive role in enhancing HSE performance through identifying and reporting
areas for improvement.
 Attended walkthrough with the client and fulfilled the safety deficiencies.
 Inspected the entire work site on a continual basis, making on the spot corrections of
unsafe acts of the workmen and taking suitable steps to eliminate all the unsafe

activities and communicated with site engineers, Foremen and gang leaders.
 Investigated accidents and near misses and reported in the prescribed format and sent to
all concerned parties.
 Conducted and participated safety committee meeting with all staff members, which will
be chaired by the project manager/construction manager on a fortnightly basis.
 Provided induction training for staffs and workmen upon arrival on site as well as
organizing refresher sessions whenever required and maintained the record of conducting
such sessions.
