Dermatology Referral for Eczema

Mr. Jane Browne, an 18-year-old student, has been experiencing a tender, weepy, and crusty nipple with surrounding inflammation since September 1, 2019. Hydrocortisone cream and a soap substitute were initially prescribed along with Edomin 5 ointment and changing from plaster dressings to Mepor dressings. On follow up visits, some improvement but not complete resolution was seen. Due to continued friction from sports, a complete resolution is needed. On examination, the nipple now appears warty. Differential diagnoses include seborrheic keratosis, eczema, or other causes. The patient is being referred to a dermatologist for further assessment and diagnosis.
