Reflection Paper

Mary is indeed a perfect model of faith. The report above showcases the
significant works and sacrifices Mary made to the Son of God, Jesus Christ.
From the message of Angel Gabriel to Mary down to Her sacrifices for Jesus.
By faith, She accepted the Angel’s word and believed the message that she
was to become the Mother of God in the obedience of her devotion (Lk 1:38).
She accepted the God’s word with no hesitations which is it has a very huge
impact for me because I am a typical person who thinks outside the box first
before deciding a particular decision. Her heart filled with gratefulness to God
moved Mary to express her faith in songs of thanksgiving to the wonders
God has poured into her life. With joy and trepidation, she gave birth to her
only son, keeping her virginity intact (Lk 2:6-7). It was her tremendous faith
that sustain her to obey the will of God even after she had delivered the Son
of God. With the same faith, she followed the Lord in His preaching Him all
the way to Golgotha (Jn 19:25-27). As a mother, the pains that she suffered
upon looking at her son’s fate in the hands if the soldiers, did not stop her
from obeying God’s will and that entitled her as an exemplary model of
discipleship. By faith, Mary tasted the fruits of Jesus’ resurrection, and
treasuring every memory in her heart (Lk 2:19). Mary’s sacrifices were paid
off when Jesus rose to life to bring salvation to all men. These just means
that Mary really deserves to be the Mother of Son of God and these means
that we must humbly cooperate with God and surrender to him despite the
fact that not everything may be clear to us. We also, we may still be young
but even in our youth, there is a mission and there will always be a mission
given by God to us that is suited to our age and status in life. As a youth, we
are obliged to study well, do good in school, obey our parents, help them as
much as we can, and most of all spread the word of God and worship the
word of God. We are still young and we have a plenty of time to change,
remember, “ Yesterday is not ours to recover, but tomorrow is ours to win or
lose”.
