Bilaran (Back To Back Race)

Bilaran (Back to Back Race)

Player:

 4 to 20 or more children, boys with boys, girls with girls


 Boys against boys. Girls against girls.
 9 years old above

Props:
No props needed

Version 1

Ground Preparation

 Two parallel lines, about 10 to 15 meter apart are marked on the ground or floor. One line is the
starting line, the other is the finish line.

Formation

 Two teams are formed. The players pair off and stand back to back in a straight line, the first
player facing the finish line.

Objective

 The objective of the game “ Bilaran” is to race faster than the opponent while carrying the
player on back to back formation.
Movement:

1. At a given signal, the first player of each team lifts the second player from the ground and
carrying him on his back, runs to the finish line.
2. Upon reaching the finish line, the two players exchange roles then run back to the starting line
(Note: If the game is a relay, the carrier must touch the hand of the next carrier before the latter
can start running with his own partner)
3. The team reaching the starting line first wins
