Faith and Leadership Reflections

1. The student learned to embody integrity, honesty, and godliness through their studies at Saint Paul School of Professional Studies. They discovered the importance of serving both God and others with humility and submissiveness. Qualities like integrity, honesty, and faith in God are more important for leadership than achievements or career accomplishments. 2. The student understands happiness to be shallow and fleeting, like enjoying popular trends or food. True joy comes from within and is felt through serving God through prayer, worship, and sharing God's word, as well as serving others without expectation of reward. Joy results from living with integrity, honesty, and humility rooted in faith in God.

REFLECTION PAPER

1. What have you seen and discovered as a SPSPS student in your religion?

Being a student of Saint Paul School of Professional Studies that has core values of
integrity, honesty, god-fearing and the likes it taught me to act such. It enables me to perform
well as a honest person who has full of integrity and learn to fear God. I am able to embody
and live the things what SPSPS has molded me not just inside the school or within the
community but also in our church. I discovered that we must learn to serve God more and be
committed to Him. I have seen that serving other people in every possible way though we may
consider it as small things is very essential. We must act with humility and servanthood, to be
submissive and learn to place our superiority and authority in order for us to be a good leader.
In our church, position and titles are useless without the right attitude. Achievements, medals,
career, job and other precious things do not matter. What matters are the values and conducts
that we have as a person. I discovered that to be a good leader and faithful servant need to
have integrity, honesty, humility, and faith in God and that I am thankful I found it inside in our
church family where Christ resides.

2. What do you understand by the term “happinness”?

For me happinness is the shallow meaning of joy. Happinness is when we are able to
buy fashion clothes to join what’s trend and new or the popular filipino statement “makisabay
sa uso”. It is when we are able to satisfy our cravings when we have eaten at Jollibee or Mcdo.
It is when we are accepted with our job and be able to have our salary and bonuses. It is when
we are able to go to school and got our medals and ribbons, walk on a stage and share our
speech. There are lots of things and situations where we can define happinness, however, joy
is different. It comes from the innermost part of our heart, it is deep and is easily expressed yet
so hard to explain. Sometimes joy is not put too much on words but is felt. For me, joy is when
we are able to serve God and people. I felt it everytime I am in church. I felt it everytime I pray,
seek His face and worship Him. Joy is when we talk to God sincerely and call upon His name.
Joy is when we serve people without asking in return. It is when we are able to share what we
have, not just our food, money and other material things but the most important matter are the
words of God. It is when we are able to encourage a peron who is down, lift up the person who
is weary and rescue the person from depression and dying. It is when we are able to act and
live with integrity, honesty, and humility but the most important thing is the fear and faith to the
Supreme and Omnipotent Being, God.
