Web Ratna Awards 2014 Call for Nominations

Online nominations are invited from Government entities for the Web Ratna Awards 2014.

The Web Ratna Awards, constituted by the Ministry of Communications and Information
Technology, acknowledges exemplary initiatives/practices of various states/UTs in the realm
of e-governance.

The Awards Categories are given below:

• Outstanding Citizen Centric Service


• Public Participation Initiative
• Outstanding Content
• Innovative Use of Technology
• Comprehensive Web Presence - Ministry/Department (Central Government)
• Comprehensive Web Presence - State/UT Government
• Open Data Champion - Ministry/Department/Organization/State

A new Category of Award, "Open Data Champion" has been introduced this year to
acknowledge the efforts and proactiveness of the
Ministries/Departments/Organizations/States towards promoting Open Data Initiative of the
government!

File the nomination at http://survey.nic.in/894935.

Log on to the website http://webratna.india.gov.in to know more about the award categories,
registering and nomination procedures.

The last date for receipt of nominations is 31st July 2014.
