23.1.1 Work principle of hoisting
mechanism
When operating the hoisting control
handle, the pressure oil in transimission
circuit drive the hoisting motor rotating,
meanwhile, it passes through a shuttle
valve to reduce pressure and entering the
cylinder of hoisting brake, enable the
brake released, The hoisting motor drive
the drum rotated to carry on hoisting
work
When operating the hoisting control
handle back to the neutral position, the
inlet and return pipe connect, the change
valve reset, and the oil in brake power
cylinder is discharged by action of brake
spring, the hoisting brake is braked,
meanwhile, the motor stop rotating and
the hoisting stop working,

23.2.1 Work principle of derrick
mechanism
When conducting derrick operation
in its control lever, the pressure oil
derrick transimission circuit drives the
derrick motor to rotate, meanwhile, it
passes through a shuttle valve to reduce
pressure and entering to cylinder of
derrick brake to release the brake, The
derrick motor drive the drum rotating to
derrick the crane
With the derrick control _ level
returned to the neutral position, the oil
inlet circuit connects with the oil return
circuit in derrick mechanism; the
hydraulic oil in brake cylinder is drained
out by the action of brake spring, the
derrick brake is braking, at the same time,
the motor rotation stops altogether with
the derrick operation.IAEA PAYA / RR BLE BEA

23.3.1 Work principle of slewing
mechanism
With the slewing handle in the slew
position from the neutral, the hydraulic
oil flows through the slewing valve into
the slewing mechanism and rotates its
motor. The slewing motor is specded
down through a slewing reducer and
passes the fluid power onto the output
shaft, which rotates the pinion altogether,
with it, the pinion engages with and
dives @ slewing yeat sing to slew the
turntable
The slewing reducer is furnished
with a stopping brake, which can make
the slewing mechanism brake.
Caution:The stopping brake is
not permitted braking when
slewing, or it will cause seriously
mechanical damage, and it can only
use when the slewing action stopped.EDP ALA OLR E/T

carrier; lock the superstructure with
turntable inserted pin,
(2) When air line pressure reaches
0.7~O.8MPa, pull the high-low gear
handle to the position of “high speed” or
“low speed”. (Usually settle it at the high
speed gear when traveling on the smooth
road; The low speed gear is applied for
the situation of low speed traveling on
steep slop or an uncven road. The travel
speed is controlled by adjusting the
magnitude of throttle and the pedal
travel.)
(3) Pull the parking brake handle
forwards, release the “braking” state
(now, should step downwards the
traveling brake pedal to avoid the crane
sliding away suddealy!),
(4) Slowly step the travel pedal
down forward (travel forwards); pedal
down backward (travel _ backwards)
Generally, it does not pedal down to
‘maximum position in starting.
(5) The crane can travel when
stepping on the throttle pedal slowly after
released the pedal of travel brake.
(6) If need applying on the brakes
during traveling, please release the
throttle pedal and travel pedal slowly,
then step down the travel brake pedal
slowly. If it is not in the case of urgency,
do not brake violently. When falling to
need the brake during traveling, should
pull the brake handle backward to stop
the crane, When the crane is parking or in
work of hoisting, should apply the
parking brake
Ad Caution: + The high or low gear
shift must carry on crane
stopping; it is strictly forbidden the
gear shift in travelling. It will bring
about gear wear or even damage,

should be smooth and firm ground when
using outriggers. If the crane has to
perform work on the soft and slope
ground, should pad the ground or steel
board beneath the outrigger float operate
the crane on level and firm ground.
(1)After starting the engine, should
fix the speed of engine to 1500r/min by
throttle pedal
A Cautions:Because the oil
temperature is lower in winter, so,
do not operate the hydraulic outriggers
immediately after starting the engine,
operation can be perform after fully
preheatin, Also should confirm
whether the liquid level in hydraulic oil
tank is in normal range and operators
should confirm the level when the
outriggers are full retracted.
(2) Pull the —outrigger/slewing
selected controller to “outrigger control”
(3) Pull outrigger selected lever to
“horizontal cylinder” side.
(4) Operate the outrigger telescopic
lever, extend all the horizontal outriggers.
(5) Pull outrigger selected lever to
“vertical cylinder” side.
(6) Operate the outrigger telescopic
lever, extend the vertical outriggers to
hold up the crane to level state, until the
wheels being away from ground.
Cautions:Should check the
outrigger float for sinking after
extending the outriggers, if sinking,
should conduct operation after treating
it by rules,
(7)When retracting outrigger, should
execute reverse procedure as mentioned
previously.‘SEIT A /AD LA He / ABA Instruction Manual / Operating of Crane / Hoisting Operation

carried on after the pressure reach
normal value.
3.6.1 Derrick Operating
(1) Push backwards the derrick pawl
switch ,the derrick paw! solenoid valve is
powered, the cylinder extends and release
the derrick pawl
(2) Carry on operation of boom
hoisting and lowering by controlling the
derrick/slewing handle
Cautions: * Must check the boom
elevation limited switch for
normal work before operation. When
the elevation reaches 80°, the devices is
automatically activated, the main oil
line will be cut off, the boom stop
action, and the alarm bell begins to
alarm,
+ After hearing the boom over
elevation warning alarm, should stop
derrick upwards immediately, and
control the boom derrick downwards,
then the warning alarm can disappear.
+ When stop derricking operation,
should lock the derrick drums by
derrick detent.
* When the boom derrick
downwards with load, the work radius
will increase, Therefore should avoid
the derrick at fast speed to prevent
overload.
3.6.2 Slewing operating
(1) Pull outrigger/slewing switch to
“outrigger control” side.
(2)Open the rotary brake switch to
release the rotary brake.

Maintenance of
drawing cable
The key point of drawing cables for
its maintenance is at the position of
aluminum shell; therefore would pay
more attention in lubricating to prevent it
from corrosion. When the position is
corroded seriously (the reducing value of
rope diameter exceeds 7% of the nominal
rope diameter) or it appears wire broken
(the broken wire numbers exceeds 10%
of wal wire number), the wire rope
should be discard.

4.1 Lubricating and Cooling
Chapter 5
The desired hydraulic oil and well
lubrication are indispensable for
operating steadily and decreasing the
wearing to every part. Filling high grade
lubricating oil or grease regularly and
moderately will help to prolong the
lifetime of the crane so, must conduct
lubricate operation properly,
5.1.1 Lubricating notice
(1) Should clean filler mouth and
mouth around to prevent dust or water
from getting into
(2) Fill the grease into the bush and
bearing, until discharging the old ones.
When conduct lubrication to the pin shaft
in boom root, should lubricate the grease
while derricking
(3) Whea lubricating the wire rope,
should moderately smear grease to the
rope with brush and cloths, etc.
(4) Must use the oil with same brand
when filling the grease and gear oil
(5) The oil exchange period is
defined according as the crane works
under the normal conditions, and when
working under the conditions of much
dust and heavy load, should reduce the
oil changing period.
5.1.1.1Cooling liquid
VOLVO” TAD8SIVE engine is
advised on adopting the cooling liquid
specially used for VOLVO PENTA diesel
engine, whose part number is 8141645
and the liquid need compounding with
distilled water in the ratio of one to one.
Before dispatch, this crane has been
filled with the cooling liquid special used
for VOLVO PENTA diesel engine, so
never mix it with the cooling liquid of
other brand. If other brand liquid has to
be used, should discharge the original
cooling liquid thoroughly and clean it‘EIA AR / ALAR MP A RA RN SH BD

5.3 Using of Wire Ropes
5.3.1 Regulations about wire ropes
using
(1) Should use the wire ropes given
in this manual
(2) Broken wires in single wire rope
reach or exceed 10% of total wire
number; the wire rope should be rejected.
(3) When the reducing value of rope
diameter exceeds 7% of its nominal
diameter, the wire rope should be
rejected.
(4) The wire rope should have no
kinking, obvious deformation or
rustiness,
(5) Hoisting rope should have
enough length, when hook falls to the
lowest position, the rope should retain
over three cycles on the drum.
(6) When hook falls to the lowest
position, the derricking rope should retain
over three eycles on the drum.
5.3.2 Cautions for using new wire rope
(1)After exchanging new wire rope,
crane should work with light load and
lower spced for adaptability, the lifetime
of wire rope can be prolonged (the effect
will be better if adopting longer boom
and reducing the rope part line)
(2)If possible, try to lift the load
with 3.51 line pull single initially stretch
of the rope, and this will be beneficial to
prolong life time of rope.
(3)The trying load can not exceed
the allowable scope of rope safety
coefficient and the given value of lifting
capacities.
5.3.3 Method of preventing rope from
winding disordered
(1) The rope of the first layer should
be winded closely and orderly, and can
not remain the gap between winded
ropes.
(2) Rope should nestle against the
side wall closely, when it changes layer‘EFA AB Aa RL Ae RE A EL

on each side of the drum (such as
winding from the second layer to the
third layer).
(3) Should exest given definite pull
force on the wire rope while it being
winded around the drum. Otherwise,
when lifting load, the rope will squeeze
into split and cause winding disorder and
even the wire to be broken,
Suggested pulling value is:
16: 045~1.25¢
20: 1~3t
(4) Guide pulley is installed in front of
the drum for changing direction of the
rope, if it cannot flexibly rotate and
move, will also cause winding
disorder. So should grease the pulley
frequently.
Caution: If disordered, should
stop operation at once, and
operation can be continued after it is
remedied, otherwise, it will be difficult
to correct the deformation of rope.
5.3.4 Method of checking the broken
wires
If there are wires broken, should
find out its numbers, regions and the
distance between broken regions and
definite that if the broken wires are in the
same strand, or the same one wine. When
a part of wires broken appear, may cut
short the broken ends to prevent the
damage part from expanding. When the
broken wire numbers exceeds 10% of
total wire number, the wire rope should
be discard
For the ropes with few face broken
wires, the broken wires can also appear
inside at times, so this needs to check
whether there are broken wires inside the
rope by bending the rope (the least
bending radius should be five times of
the rope diameter)‘EFA AB Aa RL Ae RE A EL
