CONCLUSSION

As conclusion, we solved the task by using some calculation which is based on


the design and arrangements of pipe. Thus we can plotted pump performance curved
based on the graph head(m) vs volume flow rate(Q). The operating point for both
pump A and pump B is obtained by intersection point of Head available with Head
required . The operating point for Pump A is 12.6 Lpm and operating point for Pump
B is 21.36 Lpm respectively. As a result, we have meet boss requirement which is the
operating point for Pump B is greater than Pump A but the increase is only at the
factor of 1.7 which is lesser than the factor of 2. Thus, the boss’s statement is not very
accurate as the pump B does not have an operating point by a factor greater than 2.
