IDENTIFICATION
What category your belief belongs? How do my belief differ from others (new teacher
and seasoned teacher)?
There are different philosophical foundations which become the guiding principle of what
the school should be and do, define the curriculum it offers, how the curriculum content should
be taught, and how students will learn. In the belief survey questionnaire, each item represent
five distinct educational philosophy: perennialism, idealism, realism, experimentalism and
existentialism.
C.1. Compare your philosophical view with that of the views of the new teacher and the
seasoned teacher by checking the appropriate box/es based on the result of the survey.
Perennialism

Item Do I believe on this statement?

        learning.
Compare the results. Who among the three of you is most inclined to perennialism as
 educational philosophy?
In the box above shows how both the new teacher, seasoned teacher and mine’s
perception about how education is hypothetically constant knowing that education is
unalterable the curriculum does. When you educate a certain person all the knowledge
he/she acquired retains for his/her for a long time words may disappear but the learning
stays to be used in everyday living. Subjects and principles are both in observed in a
curriculum wherein there are philosophy that are needed to be perceived when an individual
learns. The teacher needs to understand and interpret what he/she had read to effectively
impart the knowledge to the learners. The students are passive in a way that they accept
what are the things that a teacher teaches they like to spoon fed everything, but todays
learners are more active and they are able to share their thoughts in various ways.

                                                            My New Seasoned
Item Do I believe on this statement?

        and religious.
Compare the results. Who among the three of you is most inclined to idealism as
educational philosophy?
Children are sent to school to hone their curious minds and let them discover and
learn new things inside the classroom. The school helps the learner/student learn various
things that would help them in attaining the right knowledge and learning that a student
deserves to have. The teacher and the school should become an example of a compose
individual that a child will reflect their selves while studying and a place which is conducive
for learning where a student becomes the future of the society. Mostly when a teacher is still
new to his/her posts they usually follow these methods but in the long run these methods
are replaced only by lecturing. Religious and philosophy in teaching is encourage to be
present to balance the learning of the student while he/she learns. Subject matters in our
generation is an important thing that needs to be considered as always when you teach. The
new teacher and seasoned teacher are not quite sure if those are observe when they teach
knowing they have graduated for years already. They are more concern to the idea that a
student learnings, are the goals attained.

Compare the results. Who among the three of you is most inclined to realism as
educational philosophy?
The schools are the institution and the foundation at the same time wherein scholars
are studying and those scholars are the future of the world. The future we’ve been aiming for
decades. Reality must be the basis of the students learning, a teacher must teach the learners
the real things and let them be aware of the beauty of reality. I won’t say that subjects are
dominated by Science and Math’s because they are thought equally even in elementary and
secondary level but when it comes to tertiary level of course, it depends on the course they
have chosen. The students are passive in a way that they accept what are the things that a
teacher teaches they like to spoon fed everything, but todays learners are more active and
they are able to share their thoughts in various ways. As you can observe teachers right now
are taught to become a facilitator that helps and guide the students as they learn and the
students are allowed to be audacious to feed the hunger of curiosity and questions they
have. Unlike in the past generations where students are being spoon feed and babied.

        and inquiry.
Compare the results. Who among the three of you is most inclined to experimentalism
as educational philosophy?
From the start, the school is always trying to improve and had conducted some
research to seek information and find some ways to expand the means of learning a school
can offer. It has been long implemented that a curriculum must be focused and geared up
with values. Experiences is used in learning as of today, it helps to simplify the things that
seems to be difficult and those experiences are easier to comprehend as you ponder. Today’s
learners are obviously more active compared to the learner’s years ago, they love to involve
their selves in discovering the secrets and knowledge beneath. Problem solving and inquiry is
a way of learning. Students are active in creating a problem and would indulge their selves in
solving it. Since it is student centered active learning approach focusing on the process of
solving a problem and acquiring knowledge.

24 Subject matter is a matter of interpretation. /
Compare the results. Who among the three of you is most inclined to existentialism as
educational philosophy?
From the start the school helps to determine what are the potential things that a
student possess thus the school and the teacher can help them improve and to let them
know or realize their talents and abilities that will assist them on what will be their plans on
becoming for the future. Change is the only constant thing we can say in this world. The
curriculum, strategies, and the needs of the students always changes and those changes must
be met to fully grasp the learning of an individual. Years ago students are taught what’s on
the curriculum guide but in these generation students are involve in choosing what will be
the topics and learnings they should take for them to be aware. Sometimes questioning them
will poke their interest in wanting for more knowledge. Questions thrown by the teacher
made the students became inquisitive that would lead them to dig and learn more.
C.2 Self – Reflection. Discuss the philosophical agreements among the three of you (you, new
     teacher and seasoned teacher).
Seasoned teachers tend to be practical in many ways and the way they teach,
they are classified to be traditional. They are more comfortable and they find it easy
when they use chalk and talk strategies. They impart knowledge unsure if those
students were able to grasp the lesson that the teacher had share. The new teacher
uses what he/she learned how a teacher should teach his/her students making the
lesson easy to comprehend for the benefit of the students. Somehow, the new
teachers are worried from the fact that there efforts in teaching will not be paid off
thus they do their best to be efficient but if not it can’t be helped and need to proceed
to the next topic and lesson. For me, as my school taught me to become the best
teacher my students can have, they need to be the student that a society dreamed of.
They need to be equipped with the knowledge they are entitled to have. As a millennial
they are worthy to be as knowledgeable as much as possible with the help and with the
guidance of the teacher which is me, the authorized teacher to be the millennial
    teacher.
C.3. What significant disagreements occurred among the three of you (you, new teacher and
     seasoned teacher).
What teaching philosophy will be the best guide to become an effective and efficient K
to 12 Teacher?
In the advent of the implementation of the K to 12 Curriculum, what will be the most
appropriate views on:
D.1 education?
The K-12 curriculum is more than just adding years to the child’s schooling and
education but it is the blueprint for their journey to reach their peak and surmount to
their chosen field. This will help them, the students, teachers and all of the particular
persons engaged in this curriculum become successful. The curriculum will bring more
opportunities for the many people who wanted to become the future the people look
onto. This plan will give them more time to cultivate their skills and knowledge they will
be needing when the right time comes.
D.2. school?
The school is a big part for the students voyage thus it has to be ready for the
students need. The school which adapt the idea of the K-12 curriculum will also have the
opportunity in wielding its course making big changes as it adjust to become the
foundation were in students nurture and develop their skills. the facilities shall be ready
and fully prepared to be used. Learning with good facilities create a conducive
environment for the children as they learn.
D.3. curriculum?
The curriculum is the heart of the learning institution which means a certain
school or universities cannot continue and exist without it, the curriculum. The
curriculum has been dynamic all throughout the years, it changes because the needs in
        our society changes itself.
D.4. Teachers
Teachers play an extraordinary part in the lives of the children as a learner for
consecutive and formative years of their development as a student and the importance
of teachers is something that cannot be understated in implementing this curriculum is
a vital part as they facilitate how the children learns through the years. They are
extremely important as they are the façade to the society for so many reasons and their
role in the society and the student’s life are both significant and valuable in many ways.
D.4. students?
Students are the crucial affiliates in terms of K 12 education as they are the
direct recipient of the curriculum and the student’s education to prepare them for life.
The students are entitled to pay attention, with this after they graduate they are
probably qualified to do that job that will define the parameters of the job most people
are qualified for that daily job.
D.5. pedagogy?
Pedagogy is answering the question "how" the teaching and learning occurs
inside a classroom. Knowing that students are not empty vessels to be filled with our
expert knowledge. They must construct their own understandings through our
considered learning experiences. A teacher has his/her own way to share knowledge to
his/her students, effective teachers use an array of teaching strategies because there is
no single, universal approach that suits all situations. In the new implementation
different strategies must be used in different combinations with different groupings of
students that will help to improve learning outcomes using the strategies a teacher
   generated.
Teachers play various roles in a typical classroom, but surely one of the most
important is that of classroom manager. Effective teaching and learning cannot take place
in a poorly managed classroom. Effective teachers appear to be effective with students of
all achievement levels regardless of the levels of heterogeneity in their classes. The
effective teacher performs many functions that can be organized into three major roles:
making wise choices about the most effective instruction strategies to employ, designing
classroom curriculum to facilitate student learning, and making effective use of classroom
management techniques (Marzano, Pickering, & Pollock, 2001). Hence, effective teachers
have a wide array of instructional strategies at their disposal, are skilled at identifying and
articulating the proper sequence and pacing of their content, are skilled in classroom
 management techniques.
Have you discovered your own educational philosophy? How do you feel upon knowing
it? Does it reflect on the things you do as a future teacher?
As a soon-to-be teacher and having the experience while I’m in the field it helps
me realize that a mere talking won’t make you an effective teacher. A teacher needs to
be looked up and have the standards. I have promise to teach the future’s future so I
am authorized to educate them with the knowledge worthy to be proud of as a
teacher. I want to be the best teacher for them if not perfect, I want them to be wise in
different and various ways. I want them to reach the top and to become successful like
        others.
DISSEMINATION
What is your educational philosophy? How do you use this philosophy to become an
efficient and effective 21st Century K to 12 Teacher?
Think of the characteristics of the 21st Century Teacher and the Implementation of the K
to 12 Curriculum and how to achieve its goals as the basis of your own Philosophy of Education.
Articulate your Philosophy of Education of what a 21st Century K to 12 Teacher.
Use the following as your questions to examine, discuss and communicate your
philosophy of education:
As someone who has spent over half of her life as a student, I can vouch for the
importance of school. School serves a number of purposes from building
confidence to teaching children the importance of teamwork and working with
others. School helps guide youngsters though the establishment of a daily routine,
which is of utmost importance as we direct them toward the workplace, and as
they become productive members of society. Students are provided with access to
new ideas in school itself. Experience taught me a lot of things, as a student I am
authorize to try things to have some experience I can use in the field. Interacting
with the students while teaching, encouraging them to speak for themselves and
let them express their knowledge regardless of what it was because you are a
teacher and as a teacher you have to consider things. I want my students to grasp
the lesson I am giving them for them to use it in everyday life and it is important
for me as a teacher for the students to learn for the reason that they will need it,
learning can never be taken from you. Using a certain pedagogy will make the
teaching efficient thinking that those strategies are useful whenever you teach. An
ideal k-12 teacher is a teacher equipped with 21 st century skills and knowledge, a
teacher who believes he/she can handle the new system of learning that our
government implemented. A teacher whom he/she knows the nature of the 21 st
           century learners and the millennials.

What do you think are the challenges of a teacher as a classroom manager? Why do you
think this are considered as challenges?
Using classroom management to control students’ behavior is by far one of the most
challenging tasks that teachers have. A lot of the time, teachers are completely unaware of
what is going on in their students’ home lives, which oftentimes is the reason for the
students’ undesirable behavior in school. Likewise, as students grow up, they have to deal
with a variety of social and emotional changes that may result in the disruption of their
behavior. However, with a little forethought and some creative classroom
management, teachers can turn their students’ unfavorable behavior around.
As a teacher you should be aware of your own students, knowing them deeply may help
you understand how are they dealing with their lives that affects their studies. Looking for
any recurring behavior patterns. Most of the time, students who have behavioral issues
have more than one and a classroom manager you should be conscious for you to be able
to take an action so it won’t become a big issue. looking for any reccurring behavior
patterns. Most of the time, students who have behavioral issues have more than one. Your
goal during this step is to choose just one behavior to correct at a time. So look for one that
sticks out, like blurting out or bothering other students. If the child is continually bothering
other students because they are trying to avoid doing their work, you need to rethink your
seating arrangement. Place them in a seat where they are unable to bother anybody or
even be tempted to. In addition to that, you can look at what the students’ interests are.
When children are bored, they tend to talk to their classmates or become distracted. Take a
closer look at your lessons and see if you are meeting the needs of all of your students.
Sometimes, all you have to do is make sure your lessons are a little more engaging and of
interest to the child who is misbehaving.
