About Indian Road Safety Campaign

Indian Road Safety Campaign is the road safety initiative of Solve. Started as a project at IIT Delhi
due to death of students in a road-accident, IRSC has gradually grown to be the largest youth-led
organization in India. IRSC currently works across Policy, Law, Medical, Awareness, Technical
domains in its efforts to attack the problem of 1.5 lakhs lives being lost from all ends across 50+
cities with volunteer support of more than 40,000+ students from 500+ colleges. IRSC is currently
working with people from UN, WHO, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, various State
Govts, Zonal Polices, Supreme Court, AIIMS, IITs, TRIPP and other research centers across the
world in its endeavor towards Vision Zero.
Indian Road Safety Campaign (IRSC), is the largest youth-led organization in India, with its base
in IIT Delhi. It has a presence in over 50 cities and is working with help of 2500+ youth with
college chapters in premier IITs, NITs, DU colleges, AIIMS, and law colleges across India, being
led by the IIT Delhi chapter.

What Indian Road Safety Campaign Do?
Technical Innovations
Developing technical innovations and providing exposure to students as to how to use tech in
collaboration with IITs, Research Centers to solve road safety issues with use of technology.
School Programs
Sensitizing the future drivers about various aspects of road safety in a fun and colorful manner
using specifically age group based designed programs and trainings.
Making Law Accessible to All
Working under the guidance of the Supreme Court Committee on road safety to simplify the law
so as to make it accessible to all, engaging with lawyers across India to improve current laws.
Awareness Activities
Organizing and conducting online and offline interactive awareness activities, campaigns all
across India for Drivers, Police Personnel and Pedestrian
Services and Products
Working with AIIMS Trauma Care Center and IIT Delhi on developing the services like AmbiVan
to improve the post-accident emergency care in India.
Policy Fellowship
Solving road safety issues in collaboration with local authorities by sending out youth who stay at
their hometown and solve a major traffic issue or a blackspot.
I SAFE: The Safer India Challenge
An annual road safety championship across 500+ colleges in collaboration with Ministry of Road
Transport and Highways to use the expertise of students across sectors to make path breaking
changes in the field of road safety
Mission Road Safety: National Road Safety Portal
A national road safety portal developed in collaboration with Ministry of Road Transport and
Highways that shows the road accident statistics in an interactive manner and promotes sharing of
data among the various stakeholders.
First Responder and Safe Driving Workshops

Training students, professionals, Police personnel, corporates by AIIMS and World Bank
approved trainers on role of first responders and safe driving practices so as to spread awareness
regarding the same.
Vision of Indian Road Campaign

To bring ground level changes in the field of road-safety by analyzing real-life problems, surveying
and designing feasible solutions and getting them implemented with the help of government
authorities, thereby contributing towards IRSC’s vision of reducing road accidents by half by 2020.
