REFUSE- Learn to say NO!

accept all those things that will inevitably end up in
landfills, the more we generate for those unsustainable
things.

RECOVER- is to convert waste into resources such as

REUSE- The next most important thing we can do is to
reuse waste material. The way it doesn’t go in rubbish and
end up in the landfill. It also means you don’t have to buy
new product. That saves you money, energy and resources
that would have been used to make new product.

How can we reuse waste?


Give unwanted toys and books to hospitals or schools, use
plastic containers for freezing or storing food items, save
wrapping paper and boxes to use again and take household
items to your council’s recovery center.

RECYCLE- recycling involves some form of reprocessing of


waste material to produce another product, for example
recycling plastic bottles to make buckets
