The SIDBI Internship Programme aims to enable student interns to work on topics of importance. It is open to students pursuing professional courses in finance, management, engineering, banking, insurance, law or IT from reputed universities with a minimum of 60% marks. Interns can be placed in Lucknow, Mumbai or New Delhi for up to 3 months, potentially extendable to 6 months. Interns will be paid Rs. 20,000 per month and provided accommodation and meals if needed. They will be attached to a senior manager and must submit a final paper or project to be eligible for a certificate of internship. Selection is based on an application screening and potential interview.

Annexure I

SIDBI Internship Programme

Objective To enable student interns to work on various topics of importance for


SIDBI.

Eligibility  Students pursuing Professional Courses in areas of Finance /


Management / Engineering / Banking / Insurance / Law / IT from
universities / institutions of national repute are eligible to apply.

 Candidates should have a good academic record (First Class/60%


marks or more)

Location Lucknow, Mumbai and New Delhi

Duration Maximum upto 3 months. The duration can be extended upto 6 months,
if required, at discretion of SIDBI.

Stipend Interns selected would be paid a consolidated stipend of `20,000/- per


month during their training period.

Logistic  The Interns who do not reside in the city or do not have a residence

where they would be posted, would be provided dormitory
accommodation, if available, at the place of their work, or an
additional allowance of `8,000.

 In addition, they would be provided with SIDBI lounge / lunch


facility, if available, at the centre of work and reimbursement of
local conveyance expenses, if any, in connection with the project
work.

Placement The interns would be attached to a GM/ DGM of the Vertical concerned.
Submission of  At the end of the internship period, the Interns would be required

to present the paper /project on the allotted subject to the HO
Vertical Head concerned.

 The interns are required to give to the HO Vertical Head concerned


and HRV their mandatory feedback on their experience of the
programme.

Certificate of Certificates will be issued to the Interns only on satisfactory completion

of their internship, which would be on submission of their report and
its evaluation by the HO Vertical concerned.

Process of  After scrutiny of the applications received by HR Vertical, SIDBI, the

Interns suitability would be judged based on personal interview (if required
through Video-conferencing) by a Selection Committee of SIDBI.
For the purpose, the students would be called to the nearest SIDBI
Branch having Video-conferencing facility.

 No reimbursement of expenditure of any kind would be made to a


student towards the selection process, including expenses incurred
by a student for appearing in the personal interview.

 The internship would neither be a job nor any assurance of


employment in SIDBI at a later date.
