History:
UFONE starts its operations under the brand name of Ufone from Islamabad on January 29,
2001. Ufone expanded its coverage and continueously added new cities and highways to its
coverage network. After the privatization of PTCL, Ufone is now owned by Etisalat. Ufone
make an agreement with Huawei which will provide its future-oriented EnerG GSM solution to
expand Ufone’s network to cover over 1,500 cities, towns, villages and all major highways in the
country. The network also allows Ufone subscribers to enjoy high-speed wireless data service.
The GSM contract for Ufone also include Huawei’s new generation GSM dual density BTS that
feature high integrated and receiving sensitivity to improve the network performance and lower
the cost of network construction and O&M expenditures. In addition, Huawei will provide
Mobile Softswitch solution based on the advanced R4 architecture to satisfy Ufone’s network
expansion requirements, enables the telecom service provider to evolve into 3G smoothly.

Prepaid:
Prepaid refers to the payment made in advance and services are availed afterward. The
prepaid SIM reqires that you first recharge for services and use them till the amount in
your credit is nil or the term for which the recharge is expired

Postpaid:
The postpaid connection is one in which you first avail the services and thereafter pay the
price for it. Postpaid refers to payment after use, is a SIM card in which you can make
subsequent payment for the service usage. As per mobile connection, the customer can
use the services of the mobile network and then he is charged at the end of the month or
the billing cycle, either as per their contract with the service provider or for all the
services availed by them during the month.
Normally the customer is charged as per his contractwith the ufone, which specifies the
limit over browsing, texting, and calling minutes. If the usage is under limit than the the
customer is charged at a flat rate. The above usage of data caused extra charges.
Wireless device:
In latest move, ufone has launched 3G EVO wireless Broadband Services in which it selling
PTCL 3G EVO, Wi-Fi Cloud, EVO Nitro Cloud and Wingle devices at its own customer care
centers and named it Ufone EVO.

Ufone launched its uwatch available in Rs.6999, which is a smart watch and support the 2G and
3G services. It have attractive colours because it is made for kids and have moto of connecting
kids with u. It supports GPRS and SMS services and have moto of connecting kids to u. it has
two interesting features, the first one is that its have not any charging pors but have magnetic
sonsors which automatically bind with watch and starts charging it. The second feature is that it
has light sensor which sends notification to send to parent’s mobile that the kid pull off the
watch.
