Operations Management Mission
OM Department Missions
Product Design 1. TQM is achieved based on customer’s
satisfaction. Their level of quality on
products I best tested and based on
how receptive their customers to their
product. Their target is what they call
“cost-benefit” The lesser cost having a
higher benefit.
2. Every labour and work is made sure to
follow the customers’ demands and
specifications. In achieving this, the
work efficiency of each worker is
always ensured by providing an
adequate and well equipped
workplace.
3. They also design a safety measure in
every automobile they create. When
the pressure is below a specific rate,
there is an automatic break that stops
the automobile.
Quality Management 1. The organization always make sure
that their level of quality meets every
demand of the customers, that is why
their work strategies and styles are
flexible to better serve their market.
2. Quality wise, they meet the standards
with the help of their high standard and
quality work and equipments used.
Process Design 1. They use the concept of Assembly Line
Management. This is to minimize their
costs and provide faster work. Their
high quality equipments as well
minimize their cost for possible
spoilage and at the same time,
maximize their quality.
2. Work life of every worker is also well
compensated with various benefits that
the company provide. This is to gain
loyalty and commitment to work of
every worker. Their work life in the
work place as well is well suited
because the company provides a well
equipped and worker friendly
workplace.
3. They also implement the time-motion
management. They believe that lesser
movement, lesser mistake.
Location 1. In terms of efficiency, the company well
suited to the area they are currently
located. It provides them greater scope
and area for disposal of wastes and at
the same time, the plant is far enough
from the community that any possible
harm, if there is, the community won’t
be much affected.
2. For customers who want just parts,
they won’t be hassled to go to the plant
in Laguna because the Hino has dealer
per area that sells parts.
Layout Design 1. The company believes that enhancing
the work life of employees enhances
their work ethics.

equipments to adequate resources and
proper trainings, production
effectiveness is ensure which then
ensure the high quality of product
produced.
Human Resource 1. The management makes sure that
every employees are well trained
before they are placed in the work
area. This and that each and every of
their skills are enhanced.

good shape by providing adequate
resources, facilities and various
personal benefits and compensations.
This is to further motivate a good
quality of work from workers. Just last
year, they said that they have reached
up to 17th month pay, and that itself
motivated them to further be a better
employee to their company.

Supply-Chain Management 1. The organization has their own trusted
suppliers of raw materials that deliver
them already assembled with high
quality standard that Hino uses for the
production. This consistency provides
them lesser mess and chaos when it
comes to their inventory and that they
can easily track down where materials
come from in case there would be
defective parts.
Inventory 1. The just-in-time management can be a
good strategy for the company since
they said that they pattern their design
and quality based on their customers’
demands. However it can’t be used for
the whole production since their
production lasts a longer time to
complete.
Scheduling 1. The company has their own suppliers
of raw materials that deliver these
materials already assembled and bulk.
This ensures the fast processing of
product.
Maintenance 1. The company has a supply of raw
materials and stocks of finished
products in their facilities. With this
resources at hand, possible costs and
delays due to machinery breakdown re
minimized.

Product Design 1. Gardenia ensures that they provide good
quality of bread by having first a great taste
which depends on the premium and finest
ingredients. Second, the bread is known for
its softness, the very reason why
consumers can fold and roll it without
breaking. The third quality is the oven-
baked aroma. Fourthly, Gardenia
guaranties freshness; they deliver freshly
baked breads on the same day it was made
and replaces unsold breads with newly
baked ones during the day. Lastly, it is
nutrition pack, the bread contains high
protein wheat flour and enriched with
essential vitamins and minerals such as
Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, calcium and iron.
