Online, I found that Southwest Behavioral and Health Services is hiring an adults’ psychiatrist as
of October 18, 2019, and I would like to be considered for this position. My strong work ethic,
dedication, and teamwork skills make me a good match for this position. Also, my previous
research experience in the field of psychiatry, conducted with the help of Dr. Christopher
Nicholls in The Nicholls Group, gives me experience within this position.

Two years ago, I conducted a research project at The Nicholls Group, a psychology clinic, with
Dr. Nicholls as my supervisor, and Ms. Foley as my mentor. While conducting my research at
The Nicholls Group, I also started my internship there as I was able to surpass the set
expectations of my superior through my dedication to research and mu passion for psychology,
gaining experience with customer service, computer management, and team work, while also
learning about patients, their concerns, and their course of treatment.

Additionally, through my fellowship, I was able to experience the delivery of mental health
treatment of adults, adolescence, and children. While it was intimidating at first, I realized the
importance of my work in the life of the patient and learned to depend on my knowledge to be
successful. Lastly, I am familiar with workplace safety practices, and I believe my work
experience and my research make me a strong candidate to fill the position.

I am looking forward to meeting with you to interview for the adults’ psychiatrist position. I am
sure that my passion for helping people live fuller lives, dedication to the cause of SB&H, and
previous experiences can help Southwest Behavioral and Health Services. If you have any
