WHAT IS b-2Cool®?
b-2Cool® is native type II collagen extracted from chicken sternums and manufactured by Bioiberica through a
strictly controlled process that preserves the active parts of the molecule.
The triple helix structure is the active form of the native type II collagen, which allows it to carry out its biological
effects by a special immune-mediated mechanism of action.
TYPE II COLLAGEN
Type II collagen is the main structural protein in the cartilage, and provides tensile strength and toughness to
the tissue.
Some joint disorders involving inflammation and cartilage erosion are caused by an immune response against
endogenous type II collagen.
Orally taken in its native form, a low dose of type II collagen is able to modulate this immune response.
