Lesson Plan

The lesson plan summarizes the biological and cultural evolution of humans from Homo habilis to Homo sapiens. It includes learning objectives of defining key terms, differentiating physical traits, and tracing the evolution in the fossil record. The content will discuss biological evolution through genetics and traits, as well as cultural evolution through changes in ways of life. Students will view a video, discuss physical and behavioral characteristics, and complete a true/false quiz and essay explaining the importance of biological and cultural changes.

 Biological Evolution

traits of biological population from generation to another.
- Scientist study the changes in the physical body of humans, the changes in the
shape and size of their bones.
 Culture Evolution
- It refers to the changes or development in cultures from a simple form to a
mere complex form of human culture.
- Scientists study the cultural evolution of humans by analyzing the changes in
the latter’s way of life.
2. The teacher will discuss the evolutions of man from Homo Sapiens to Homo Habilis
3. The teacher will show to the students A short video about the evolution of man.

D. Generalization
The teacher will call students to share what they have learned from the lesson.
E. Application
The students will differentiate the physical and behavioral characteristics of human
from Homo Habilis to Homo Sapiens.

F. Evaluation
In 1 whole sheet of paper , the teacher will let the students answer the following:
I. True or False:
1. Homo sapiens is a distinct species of hominid family which is called the great apes.
