Work Experience
GUJRANWALA ELECTRIC POWER COMPANY, WAPDA, PAKISTAN (from 2015 to onward)
Currently Working as Assistant Engineer (P&I) at Gujranwala Electric Power Company from
01/03/2015 to up till now , where I have to supervise 28 No’s of 132KV Grid stations as a protection
Engineer. My responsibilities are as under,
Maintenance and Testing of protection panels and relays .
132KV Transmission line protection relays periodic maintenance and trouble shooting and
fault analysis of relays( 7SA5115 Siemens, SIPROTIC 7SA52 Siemens, PYTS 101,103.
Multiline D60, QuadramhoSHPM101).
132/11.5KV,40MVA Power transformer maintenance and protection(RET615 ABB,
SPAD346C3 ABB ,DMH31DF3B GEC, Multiline 345, DTH31,MICOM P631,SEL787) .
Maintenance and protection of all Incoming and outgoing Panels by O/C & E/F
relays(CDG61, 7SJ6005, 7SJ6025, Micom P115 and Micom P111 ,SEL551C ,PS431,
MIFF11) .
Wiring and trouble shooting of CP50, CP20, RP3, RP4 and also installation of Outgoing and
Incoming Panels .
Attend annual shutdowns to perform tests on power transformers ( TTR ,C&DF, MEGGER ,
DES of transformer oil ) also verified cores of 132KV CTs and 11KV CTs .
Perform Mesh integrity of Whole grid station by injecting 300A current through primary set .
Installation testing and commissioning of 132KV outdoor switchgear of switchyard e.g
Circuit breakers, Current transformers, disconnect switches, main busbar, equipment busbar,
post insulators and cables.
132KV, 11KV CTs, PTs Testing all tests related to secondary circuit.
Supervision of protection panels, relays, Auxiliary supply DC system 110V and 48V.
Installation and maintenance of Rectifiers 110V DC.
Site test of auxiliary transformer MV & LV panels’ transformer bushing & CT.
Installation of grounding network all over the switchyard.
Witness of 3Nos of 132KV grid stations (commissioning tests, functional tests).
Meetings regarding Protection and Maintenance.
WAPDA GHAZI BAROTHA POWER STATION (2007 to 2010)
Worked as Electrical Foreman in Ghazi Barotha Power station Attock from 01/12/2007 to
05/12/2010 my responsibilities was as under:
Protection/Instrumentation 0f 220/500/ KV Grid System and Transmission Lines.
Maint. /Protection of Substation.
Erection/commissioning of 220 KV Substation Consists of following:
