Analog Electronics Circuits Lab

This document outlines the course details for the Analog Electronics Circuits Lab subject with code EE307. It lists 12 experiments that will be covered in the lab related to PN junction diodes, BJT, UJT, op-amps, timers and oscillators. It provides the evaluation criteria with both internal and semester exam marks totalling 100 marks. Instructions are given on how to document experiments in an observation note and record work. Safety guidelines for the lab are mentioned. The roles and availability of lab in-charges are listed for verification of results. A process is defined for students to prepare for experiments, get readings verified and submit works. Finally, details are provided about a mini project that students need to work on including proposal and

1. Always wear tight shirt, pant and shoe inside lab.

2. DO NOT MAKE CIRCUIT CHANGES without turning off the power.

3. Make sure that equipment working on electrical power are grounded properly.

4. Avoid standing on metal surfaces or wet concrete. Keep your shoes dry.

5. Never handle electrical equipment with wet skin.

Note: On time completion will be used as tool for assessment of observation and
record work.
1. Preparation of observation note-Students will be informed about the experiment
details in advance. Hence, students are informed to prepare the observation note
based on the reference lab manual which will be circulated except the
experimental reading and calculation based on experimental reading. Note: The
sequence of experiments given in the previous slides will be followed.

2. Simulation verification- Students are encouraged to do simulations for the

experiment to be done in the lab. Hence, lab in-charges will verify the result
before the start of lab. Note: Multisim software can be used for performing the
simulation analysis.

3. Preparation of record work- Students are expected to submit the completed

record work (with signature from lab in-charge) for the previous week.

4. Verification of preliminary learning- Viva-voce will be asked during the beginning

of each and every lab. Hence, students may prepare necessary theory from any of
the text / reference books for clear understanding of the experiment.
1. After oral viva-voce, students have to construct the circuit. Then, the constructed
circuit should be verified by any one of the lab in-charges for taking the experimen
tal reading. Finally, the readings should be shown to respective lab in-charge for v
erification.

2. At-least one graph sheet and semi log graph sheet can be brought to the lab for sa
me day verification.

3. Appropriate stationary tools should be used for drawing any diagrams.

3. Objective (Preferably, three sentences)

4. Block diagram / circuit diagram (should be drawn legibly)

5. Components / apparatus required along with budget

6. Time line of project work

Report Document

 Students are informed to submit the printed (Maximum of three pages) mini
project report on or before 03.02.2020. This document should contain the following
contents.
1. Title of the project

2. Name and roll number
