STUDY ON EMPLOYEE MOTIVATION WITH SPECIAL
REFRENCE TO BOS NATURAL FLAVOURS PVT LTD.
INTRODUCTION
The project work entitled a study on employee motivation with special reference to BOS
Natural Flavours Pvt Ltd ,Perumbavoor is mainly conducted the factor which wil motivate the
employees and the organizational functions .
Employees motivation is the method for motivating employees ,is an intrinsic and internal drive
to put forth the necessary effort and action towards work-related activities .It has been broadly
defined as the ”psychological forces that determine the direction of a person’s behavior in an
organization ,a person’s level of effort and a person’s level of persistence ”.Also ,motivation can
be thought of as the willingness to expand energy to achieve a goal or a reward .Motivation at
work has been defined as the sum of the processes that influence arousal ,direction and
maintenance of behaviors relevant to work setting .
Motivation is the impulse that an individual has in a job or activity to reaching an end goal
.There are multiple theories of how best to motivate workers but all agree that a well-
motivated work force means a productive work force .It is the major task of every manager to
motivate his subordinates or to create the will to work among the subordinates .It should also
be remembered that a worker may be immensely capable of doing some work ,nothing can be
achieved if he isn’t willing to work .
A manager has to make appropriate use of motivation to enthuse the employees to follow
them.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
Employee motivation is one of the major issues faced by every organization .The problem that
arise here is associated with the motivation of employees of BOS Natural Flavours Pvt Ltd,
Perumbavoor .There are variety of factors that can influence a person’s level of motivation
,some of factors includes fairness of promotion system with in a company ,quality of working
condition ,leadership & social relationship , job security ,employee recognition ,career
development opportunities etc..
SCOPE OF STUDY
The study is intended to evaluate motivation of eployees in the organization .A good
motivational programmes of employees are made not only in the particular organization but
also in any other organization ,the organizations can achieve the efficiency also to develop a
good organizational culture.
Motivation has variety effects .These effects may be seen in the context of an individual
physical and mental productivity , absenteeism and turnover .This helps in retaining and
nurturing the true believers who can deliver value to the organization.
SIGNIFICANCE OF STUDY
This study helps to realize the importance of effective employees motivation .This research
study examines type and level of employees motivational programmes and help to provide
insights to support future research regarding strategic guidance for organizations that are both
providing and using reward programme.
METHODOLOGY
The research design and methodology devised in this paper is being presented keeping in mind
the focused objectives and with the aim of acquiring accurate and authentic data .This study is
both analytical and descriptive in nature .This study is based on primary data collected from
BOS Natural Flavours Pvt Ltd .
LIMITATIONS OF STUDY
      Accuracy of the report is completely dependent of employees respondents.
      In depth study could not conducted because of limited time period.
      The respondents weren’t always open and forthcoming ,with their views agitates and
       non-disclosing.
      The changes of biased response ,can’t be eliminated through all steps were taken to
       avoid the same.
OBJECTIVES
   1. To study the motivational factors provided by BOS Natural Flavours Pvt Ltd .
   2. To study whether the workers are satisfied with their monetary and non-monetary
      factors of motivations.
3. To analyse whether there is an increase in the production due to the motivational
   factors.
4. To assess the kind of employee-employer relationship in BOS Natural Flavours Pvt Ltd.
5. To elicit suggestions from the employees in the betterment of their present working
   environment.
