A RESOLUTION INFORMING THE DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR AND LOCAL
GOVERNMENT BUKIDNON THE INCOMPLETE NUMBERS OF SANGGUNIANG
KABATAAN MEMBERS OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF IMPASUGONG
WHEREAS, the SK Reform Act of 2015 encourages the involvement of youth in public and
civic affairs through the establishment of effective, responsive and enabling mechanisms in
forging youth participation in local governance.
WHEREAS, supposedly 91 SK members of the 13 barangays in the municipality of Impasugong
but there were only 72 SK members.
WHEREAS, most youth are not interested to run for the position of being one of the SK
members in such barangay.
WHEREAS, most youth are not formally informed in the filing period during the conduct of
Sangguniang Kabataan Election.
WHEREAS, youth in the barangay are not willing to run due to the fact that there is no
honorarium and benefits at all.
WHEREFORE, on motion of SK Chairperson Jessie Mark Granitin and duly seconded by SK
Chairperson Phoebe Okinlay be it.
Be it resolved that A RESOLUTION INFORMING THE DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR AND
LOCAL GOVERNANCE BUKIDNON THE INCOMPLETE NUMBERS OF

Resolution Number 02

A RESOLUTION INFORMING THE DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR AND LOCAL
GOVERNMENT OF BUKIDNON THAT MOST BARANGAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY
OF IMPASUGONG CANNOT APPOINT THE SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN
SECRETARY AND SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN TREASURER.
WHEREAS, Memorandum Circular no. 2018-131 of the DILG provides the Guidelines on the
Appointment of Sangguniang Kabataan Secretary and Sangguniang Kabataan Treasurer at the
barangay level;
WHEREAS, Section 7 of the same law provides that the Sangguniang Kabataan Chaiperson
shall appoint the Sangguniang Kabataan Secretary and Sangguniang Kabataan Treasurer from
among the members of the Katipunan ng Kabataan, with the concurrence of the majority of all
the Sangguniang Kabataan members;
WHEREAS, the said SK officials will be appointed with no honorarium;
WHEREAS, considering that said position are voluntary in nature since it has no honorarium,
there is no interested KK member for said positions in most barangays in the municipality of
Impasugong;
WHEREFORE, on motion of SK Chairperson Mark Lester Dahino and duly seconded by SK
Chairperson Mill James Tumalas be it.
Be it resolved, a resolution informing the Department of the Interior and Local Government of
Bukidnon that most barangay in the Municipality of Impasugong cannot appoint the
Sangguniang Kabataan Secretary and Sangguniang Kabaatn Treasurer.
