Functional rehabilitation in Virtual Reality
Do you experience any of the following?
• Never enough patients?
• Patients don’t want to exercise?
• Patients are afraid to move and don’t want to cooperate?
• Patients won’t come back after the therapy?
• Do you want the therapists to have more time to focus on the patients?
• Except for the evaluation you have no insights into patients’ performance?
If you have one of those problems then you need a virtual reality device!

Professional biofeedback
Except for feedback in the games, the therapist can
choose to use additional biofeedback. The patients
can see their mirror like image from the camera,
balance graph and other relevant data. It helps
patients with adjusting their movements and
posture.
                                           No fear anymore
Advanced patient recognition allows the therapist to
protect and guide the patient while standing behind or next
to the patient. Early stage patients can use Doctor Kinetic
while sitting on a chair, wheelchair or a gym ball.

Every session generates a detailed motion report,
including gait, balance, range of motion and motor
control. The reports can be easily compared over

Doctor Kinetic: enjoy your rehabilitation.
Patient case
The patient was a male, 58 years old with brain trauma and femur fracture.
The patient started using Doctor Kinetic at the beginning of his rehabilitation.
Problems: post brain trauma, cognitive disorder, motor disorder of the left side, the distal end of the left
upper limb had better motor function than the proximal end, the left femoral intertrochanteric fracture.
The range of motion of the left hip and the knee was limited.
Result: after two phases of rehabilitation the outcome was significant. The patient was satisfied.
Trunk balance control has increased
The graphs represent the track of
patient’s trunk on sagittal / coronal
planes. On the first one the patient was
doing squats and on the second was
balancing side to side. The patient’s
trunk was more stable after the training
(the blue dots) than before the training
(the red dots).
Left upper limb control has increased
The graphs represent the position of
hand vs shoulder. The first graph was a
circle hand movement pattern and the
second one was a triangle and an
inverted triangle. Both demonstrate
higher quality of movement after the
training (blue dots) than before the
training (red dots).
Sit to stand transfer can perform
Before the training the patient was only
able to sit. After the first phase the
patient was able to perform the sit to
stand transfer. After the second phase the movement was performed better with a higher confidence.
The graph represents the performance of the transfer. On the first training the patient performed it 4
times and on the last 8 times, in the same timeframe.
Patient’s testimonial
“I think this device helped me a lot. Now my upper limbs are more flexible, and I can sit still by myself,
and stand. Besides, the positive feedback that it gave to me, gave me more sense of achievement.”
Therapist’s testimonial
The patient was very motivated thanks to Doctor Kinetic. During the months of treatment we could keep
up his motivation by showing him even small improvements. The outcome was significant and it saved
me a lot of effort.
