*Introduction:
The church of Paoay is founded by Augustinian missionary,1593. Cornerstone of church
laid,1704; of convent,1707; of tower,1793. Used before completion and kept in repair by the
people anther the joint Auspice of the church and the town officials. Inauguration ceremonies, 28
February 1896. Church damage by earthquake, 1706 and 1927. Tower used as observation post
by the Katipuneros during the Revolution. And by the Guerrilleros during Japanese occupation.
*Objectives:
To inform the audience or the reader by having a travelogue paper about the tourist
spot in Ilocos.
To educate by process of discovering the history, background, and tourist destination.
To learn more about their various culture.

I grew up thinking what could be the filling of travelling with family and friends. Travel
make us possible to experience new culture, environment and observing their religious belief. I
never have a thought that I could be travel with my classmates and teachers. From Zambales to
Ilocos Region which is almost a 18 hours of travel. It is a great pleasure to travel. In Ilocos
because of the renowned tourist destination dibbed as one of the new 7 wonders cities. And also,
Ilocos have its standout appealing beauty and native historical places like the Paoay church that
build many years ago. And it also used in many historic events in the Philippines, liked the tower
of the church they used it as an observation post by the Katipuneros in revolution, and by the
Guerrillas during Japanese occupation.
In a tired day of long travelling you may also visit at Saud Beach take a rest and to look
the powdery white sand and clear water of the beach. Rooms and cottages are also available and
price my vary depending on your number. And you may also visit the Patapat Bridge aline light
of the most talked about the Ilocos Region a 1.3 km. long snake like bridge that connects
Cagayan Valley and Maharlika Highway. And after you visit the Paoay church you can also go
and visit and explore the famous Zoo in Ilocos the Baluarte. It is home of the most endemic
animals like Tiger, Phyton and many others.
If you ever craving for a long time for the Vigan Empanada, your craving for a long time
is over, because there are many stores there that offers a empanada in a low cost of 30.00 pesos.
If you want also to eat Ilocanp style Pinakbet with Vigan Bagnet you must look the original
pinakbet farm. The restaurant have a refreshing and fresco dining experience a Filipino feast
inside. Authentic Ilocano dishes they will serve to you. And while or after eating there will be a
cultural presentation about the cultures and tradition of Ilocanos, and also a musical act that plays
native Ilocano songs.
How to get there:
Ilocos Region can be reach by land. The time travel for that is depend on traffic situation
that you can encounter. If you don’t have a private car you may ride busses like Partas, Florida
and Genesis going to Ilocos. And now what are you waiting for, plan and go now to the Ilocos
Region home of the most Historic places in the Philippines.
The tower that uise by the Katipuneros during the Revolution. And by the Guerrillas during Japanese
occupation.

Patapat Bridge: a 1.3 km long snake like bridge that connects Cagayan Valley to Maharlika Highway.
Baluarte is the home of most endemic animals.
