COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course provides discussions on collecting, analyzing, and reporting data collected in the field. Students learn a variety of field
techniques for sampling plants, insects, and vertebrates. In addition to the field techniques, students learn to relate field data to ecological
processes. Students read scientific literature that presents field data and write scientific reports.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

This course envisions graduate students who specialized in general science to:
1. Understand the ecological environment of every organism;
2. Appreciate the beauty of nature; and
3. Identify means on how to preserve the natural environment.
