HONDA v/s VOLKSWAGEN
Difference between Honda City and Volkswagen Vento
Honda City has been the most popular mid size sedan to hit Indian streets to date. This
model has played a crucial role in the success of Honda in India. Volkswagen has also
jumped into the market of small and midsized cars with the release of the VW Polo
(hatchback) and theVolkswagen Vento – mid size sedan model. Needless to say, Vento and
City are now engaged in a heated popularity contest.
Engine
Three variants of Honda city are available: 1.5 E MT, 1.5 S MT and 1.5 S AT. The first two
have a 1.5 litre, 1497 cc, I-VTEC engine (petrol) which produces 118PS power at 6600 rpm.
1.5 S AT is also equipped with the same engine but has an additional automatic transmission
gearbox. City is popular because of its good performance. The advanced I-VTEC engine
provides good fuel economy and better efficiency. It is expected that Volkswagen Vento will
be available in both Diesel and Petrol options. It is equipped with an engine producing 105
bhp of power. A vast difference is expected in the driving capabilities of diesel and petrol
engines due to the difference between the torques produced by these respective motors.

Honda City is famous for its powerful air conditioning system. It has an integrated audio
system which can be connected to your iPod, USB memory, mobile phone and mp3 player.
No doubt its design is eye-catching. Besides it has a number of safety features such as front
fenders and engine hood hinges. Its windshield support structure is designed in such a way
that it absorbsenergy easily. It has an anti-lock breaking system (ABS) and electronic
