LEARNING TO PLAY THE MELODY OF THE SONG

Steps to follow :

Firstly, Bring the melody or the tune of song in your mind.

Secondly , analyze the shifts in the melody that is ups and downs in
the tune.

Thirdly, try to incorporate the ups and downs by playing the keys

A simple technique to do this would be : whenever the tune of the


song goes up the fingers on the keys go right, and whenever the
tune of the song goes down the fingers on the keys go left.

The width of transition in the keys depends on the amount of change


in the tune.

Pressing the key should be for every syllable of the song.

Only exception to the above rule is when sometimes there is more


than one tune in one syllable . Eg. Kai viruvaaro in soarndhu
pogaadhae.

A key should be pressed according to the tempo of the word.
