Walking toward the stage wearing a toga is considered as one of the
happiest moments of our lives. It only means that the next step after this
graduation is a good job so that you can help your family.
In my situation, I graduated last July 1, 2017. After my graduation, I focused
my studies on our home as a preparation for the upcoming Licensure Examination
for Teachers last September 2017 but unfortunately, I was not able to take during
this examination because I was late in applying. So, I took the LET on March 2018
and luckily I passed this examination even if I didn’t enroll in a review center.
I applied different private schools but I was not lucky. One of those private
schools doesn’t need elementary teachers because they let their high school
teachers teach the other subjects in elementary. In other private schools I applied,
I was late in applying. There are already hired teachers. Despite of these failures, I
substituted for a month in Holy Child High School in Clarin. When I went there to
ask for a service record, the principal said that they don’t give service record for
just a month service. They will give service record for those who render 1 year or
above in service.
So, I am hoping that even if I only have one month of teaching experience
but don’t have any papers to support, I am still thankful because even if it was
only one month I became a real teacher. I am also hoping that this experience will
be a great help this time that I am applying for the teacher 1 position.
Please consider this as my application for an elementary school teaching position
in North Central Mindanao College. As my resume reveals, I graduated from La
Salle University last July 1, 2017 with a degree of Bachelor in Elementary
Education major in General Education. I am very much happy because I graduated
as a work scholar in this school. Also, I am now a licensed professional teacher.
My student teaching experiences afforded me the opportunity to assume all the
responsibilities of an elementary teacher at multiple grade levels. I feel confident
and qualified to take on the challenges that teaching offers. I am willing to
demonstrate my teaching skills in your school that is committed to high standards
in the education of children.
