(O Allah! cure You are the Great Curer. There is no cure but through You, which leaves behind
no disease)
arrated Abu Hurairah (radi Allahu anhu) that the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam)
said: “There is no disease that Allah has sent down except that He also has sent down its
treatment.” [The Book of Medicine: Sahih Bukhari]
Allah has never created a disease but created its treatment, that is known by some people
and unknown to others, except death. (At-Tabarani)
Spirituality and Health:
Islamic Medicine is based that we physiological, psychological, mental and spiritual
components. If something affects them, Muslims should seek early medical attention
according to the Prophet's (peace me upon him) practise and teaching (sunnah), because our
healthly body and spirit are gifts and trusts from Allah.
Such spiritual and religious appraoches to diease are interpreted as methods of coping and
hope. That's why for Muslims, the Qur'an, Dua, and asking for protection from Allah are forms
of Medicine.
Form the Islamic point of view, a strong faith and trust in Allah play an important role in the
cure of diease, as does eating well in an effort to recover.
As the Prophet Muhammad (peace me upon him) has said;
"Make full use of the two cures; Honey and the Qur'an".
....Dr. Mehdi Ben Abboud of Morocco has said, Islam prescribes both ways of treatment with
excess in the former of neglect of the latter, as individuals are an integal composite of the
body and spirit. we are encourged to feed our souls as we feed our body, through prayer and
continued worship in our daily lives.
Allah has also promised to respond to whoever calls on Him, provided the call emanates from
the heart;
"when my servants ask you concerning me, i am indeed close to them: I listen to the prayer of
every supplicant who calls me (Qur'ran 2:186) Taken from Book: "Spirituality and Health:
Multidisciplinary Explorations"

known to take out Black Magic "Cupping-Hijama", as Hijama takes out all dirty blood and also
Black Magic. Ibn Al-Qayyum mentions that the Messenger (s) was afflicted with Black Magic
and was cupped on the head to treat it. He also highlights that Hijama is one of the best
cures to treat Black Magic if performed correctly (Zaad al Ma'aad 4/125-126).

Question from Eshaykh:
18:18 ..whilst they were asleep, ….and wouldst certainly have been filled with terror
of them.
From Bangali translation of “Kanzul Imam & Khajaynul Islam” by Imam Ahmad Raza
Khan Berelvi(ra) and Hazrat Allama Naym Muradabadi (alihir rahima), I found in the
note of Ayat # 18 that : Allah taila protected them (ashab-e-kahf) by such fear that
nobody can reach them.Hazrat Muabiya (radi allahu anhu) at the time of war against
Roman was passing through the “Kahf” (cave).Than he(ra) like to go “ashab-e-
kahf”.Hazrat Ibn Abbas (ra) prevent him (ra) not to do that and recite this verse
(18).After that a team enter there by the order of Hazrat Muabiya(ra).Than Allah taila
flew a such kind of wind that burn everybody.
Assalamualikum,

Answer:
wa `alaykum salam
And [it was related] from Mu`awiya that he sent a battle expedition towards
Byzantium, and they passed by the Cave in which are the Companions of the Cave
[and said,] “what if we uncovered them and looked at them?” And ibn `Abbas said to
him, “It is not for you to do that. Truly Allah prevented that to one who was better
than you,” [meaning to the Prophet of Allah (s) in the verse] {if thou hadst come up
on to them, thou wouldst have certainly turned back from them in flight,} (Surat al-
Kahf, 18:18)
Then Mu`awiya said, “I will not stop until I know about them .” and he sent people to
see them, and told them “go and enter the cave.” and they went and entered the
cave and Allah sent a wind which burned them (ahraqathum).” [related in the
Tafsir Ruh al-Bayan by Shaykh Isma`il al-Haqqi, who mentioned an alternate reading
asakhrajathum, “forced them out” in lieu of ahraqathum“it burned them.”
Shaykh Hisham mentioned that meaning in his Tafsir of Surat al-Kahf:
And that’s why Mu`awiya (ra), when he asked to see them, Ibn `Abbas (ra) said “No.”
Because Allah will send ru`ba, will send fear in your heart, as he said in Holy Qur’an,
and then you will be completely burned out.

Know that the Qur' an is the ocean where from the jewels of knowledge and the
treasures of understanding are extracted. Any believer who is grant the way to
understand it, his Opening (fath;Victory in a general sense. The same word can be
used for the conquest of a city, the dispelling of hardships, achievement of success in
any endeavour, and the unveiling of the Eye of the heartso that it begins to perceive
the Unseen; it is usually in this latter sense that the term is used in sufi texts),
becomes permanent, his light complete, his knowledge vast, and he never tires of
reading it night and day, for he found therein his goal and his purpose. This is the
quality of the sincere seeker. Shaykh Abu Madyan, may Allah me pleased with him,
has said: "A seeker is not a seeker until he is able to find in the Qur' an everything
that he desires."
Be careful to read those suras and verses which are recommended in the sunna at
particular times; for examples
al-Sajda; The Prostration [32],
al-Mulk; The kingdom [67],
al-Waqi'a; The Event [56],
and the last two verses of al-Baqara; the Heifer[2], every night before going to
sleep.
al-Dukan; The Smoke [44], on Sunday and Thursday evenings, and
al-Kahf; The Cave [18], on Thursday night and Friday.
Read if you can, the Seven Saving Ones every night they are;
al-Sajda,
Ya-sin [36],
al-Dukhan [44],
al-Waqi'a [56],
al-Hasher [59],
al-Mulk [67], And Insan; Man[76].for their merit is great.
Also morning and evening the first few verses of suratal-Hadid;The Iron [57],
the last few verses of Suratal-Hashr; The Gathering [59], sura Ikhlas[112], three
times and the two refuge-taking suras al-Falaq & al-Nas [114,113] three times
each;
similarly, al-Ikhlas and he last two suras of the Qur' an together with the al-
Kursi verse; The Foot stool [2:255], and suratal-Kafirun;The Disbelieves[109],
immediately before going to sleep, making these the last thing that you utter.
And Allah Ta’ala says the truth, and He guides to the way.
