VENT WAY CALCULATIONS :

Length of Weir L= 62.3 metres

For BC weir Q = Cd L H^3/2


1.70 X 62.3 X (0.609)^3/2

Discharge = 50.334 cumecs

Assumed Velocity in the Barrel = 1.80 m / sec

Area Required = Q / V = 27.963 Sq.mt

Considering a Vent size of 6.60 m x 2.20 m.

No.of Vents required = 1.926 no.
