Dear Victoria Pursch:

I am writing in regard to the 2nd grade teaching position for the 2020-2021 school year posted on
Indeed.com. Before obtaining my degree, I have had 3 years’ experience working with early
childhood students within the Charter School systems. My dedication, leadership, and creativity
skills help make me a qualified match for this position. I am First Aid, CPR, and CLASS
certified, also making me an ideal candidate for this role.

For the past three years, I have worked as a Teacher’s Assistant at a charter school in the
Washington, D.C area. My dedication to the school and my shown leadership skills have also led
me to take on the position in becoming a Team Lead for TA’s. I have led meetings, both small
and large, amongst colleagues discussing educational best practices.

Within the classroom, I have experience working with groups of 20-25 students ranging from
Pre-Kindergarten to 1st grade. I have planned and executed learning outside the classroom with
creative hands on fieldtrips and have also created reward systems within the classroom to
increase student’s productivity and participation. On a daily basis, I help to implement play-
based curriculum standards all while maintaining a safe learning environment.

With my educational background and strong employment history, I am confident that I am an

ideal match for your company. I will be a positive role model for both the students and other
team members within your school, and my on-the-job work experience has helped me to gain a
well-rounded skill set for the elementary school setting. I look forward to hearing from you soon
and wish to thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Opal Mundy
