The 2014 Campeonato Brasileiro Série B was the 28th edition of the second division of Brazilian football. 20 teams participated between April and November 2014, with a break during the World Cup. Joinville won their first title and were promoted along with Ponte Preta, Vasco da Gama, and Avaí. The bottom 4 teams were relegated to Série C for 2015.

2014 Campeonato Brasileiro Série B


The Serie B of the Brazilian Championship 2014 is a
football competition held in Brazil, equivalent to the second Campeonato Brasileiro
division. It is contested by 20 clubs, between April 18 and Série B
November 28. The top four teams will be promoted to Série
A in 2015 and the last four will be relegated to Série C in
2015.

The games had a break during the 2014 FIFA World Cup,
