STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The last few years are an incredible journey on behalf of me where I graduated with a
B.Tech in Computer science & Engineering from Jayamukhi Institute of technological
sciences which is affiliated to the Jawaharlal technological university Hyderabad and joined
Consulting and Outsourcing provider, Maintec Technologies Pvt. Ltd as a Network Analyst.
During this era of association with Maintec, I developed my technical skills which were also
entwined with my growth as knowledgeable. After working for quite one year as a Network
Analyst with Maintec, I even have realized that I want to exit of the company world to
reinforce my skills even more to stay me at par with this ever-changing world.

In the 8th semester of my college, we had to settle on electives. Honestly, I didn't have any
idea about what was future in any of the elective subject. So, I just went with my instinct and
took up Multimedia & Rich internet applications together of the electives. because the classes
commenced, I used to be guaranteed that my instincts had not let me down and shortly I
found that I used to be considerably drawn towards the topic. This attraction toward cryptic
was further aggravated when it had been introduced during a few the episodes of 1 of my
favourite TV shows called Bones where they used Cryptography and Encryption/Decryption
techniques in solving crimes. From that moment I instantly knew where my interests in
further education lie and that I promised myself that this is often what i would like to
ascertain myself twiddling with.

Today because the whole world goes mobile and with the boom of e-commerce, the necessity
for Cyber Security may be a matter of utmost importance to everyone. Most folks believe that
our data is secure, that our actions are confidential. But actually, it's not. We hear incidents of
hacking and Server crashes in our daily dose of stories and that we just turn the page as if it's
just another incident without even understanding the magnitude of those sorts of catastrophes.
We keep it up talking about curbing Piracy but on reality we've not even ready to identify
quite one-half of the sources to pirated material, including track them and stop them. and
clearly, anyone would take free material instead of paying for it. Let's face it, there are not
any good Samaritans who would turn their back to a freebie. With my desire for Cyber
Security combined with my strong background of Programming & Analytical skills and
excellence in Mathematics, i might wish to create an environment which might be Solid,
Secure and Safe.
The MSc in Cyber Security with Advanced Practice at Northumbria University seems to be
tailored for my needs, especially after the course modules were altered this year onwards.
With the highly qualified faculty, research facilities and computing resources at your
University I think I might be ready to pursue my career aspirations. I even have motivation,
aptitude and desire to find out. I hope that my academic background including my work
experience and knack towards the topic will enable me develop myself into a future Cyber
Security professional. I anticipate to a stimulating and rewarding association together with
your esteemed University.
