The document provides a plan and bibliography for a documentary about the development of women's roles in movies. The plan discusses researching why there are fewer female leads and strong independent female characters, and why it took so long for women to be portrayed this way. It also discusses investigating the divide between male and female characters in movies and if women are still portrayed primarily as caring, loving or oversexualized. The bibliography includes YouTube clips and websites for research, as well as contact information for experts in the field of women in film and television.

Plan:
For my Final Major Project (FMP) I am producing a documentary about the
development of women’s roles in movies.
In my documentary I will discuss (and therefore I will research):
- Why there are not as many movies with female leads
o Why superheroes and murderers are mainly played by men
- Investigate why it has taken so long for women to be seen in films
as independent strong characters
- If there is still a divide between men and women in movies
o Avengers: Infinity War- small sections of purely female fight scene, Scarlet
Witch was there as a love story/caring for Vision
o In the main fight scene, majority of fighters are men
- Why women are displayed as caring, loving or oversexualised roles in
movies
(I will go more in depth in my brief and research later)
