THE ROTARACT CLUB

THIS IS WHO WE ARE

We strive to give back to the community by illustrating impactful leadership skills, aiding
the city of Edwardsville through community service. The Rotaract Club is in proud
partnership of the local Edwardsville Rotary Club.

The Rotaract Club was established in January 2013 at Southern

Illinois University Edwardsville. The club included several
driven individuals who strived to make a difference in the
community of Edwardsville, Illinois. The club’s encouragement
streams from its affiliation with the Rotary Club of
Edwardsville, Illinois. For years, the Rotary Club has been
demonstrating volunteer work and making a meaningful
impact on the community by helping to keep an eco-safe
planet and fight food insecurity. For the past 7 years, the
Rotaract Club has been able to create the same impact with
the help of the student leaders of Southern Illinois University
Edwardsville.

Volunteer Services

The Rotaract Club has had the privilege of facilitating

fundraisers such as the SIUE Empty Bowls fundraiser
and Nicaragua fundraiser along with other
environmentally friendly events such as Adopt A
Highway. The Empty Bowls fundraiser helped solve
food insecurity within the SIUE community by
allocating proceeds to the university's Cougar Cupboard
food pantry. Following the immense success of the
Empty Bowls fundraiser, the Rotaract Club was able to
distribute 25,000 meals that allowed the people of
Nicaragua to receive food that helps prevent
nutritional deficiency.

Get Involved

The Rotaract Club’s primary mission is to give back to

the community but, also create leaders within that
community who strive to create long term success.
Members can expect to receive great benefits by being
a club member. Leadership opportunities are endless.
Members gain skills of personal development,
communication, and responsibility. This is also a great
way to meet new people since there is a wide range of
