Thermocalc Notes

One Axis Equilibrium Template can be used to create a property diagram to determine phases present at a given temperature from a simple equilibrium calculation. Diffusion simulations do not require setting an initial composition as it will vary with distance over time. Cloning a diffusion calculator allows creating a region to select additional plot options for further detailing a non-isothermal simulation using a single region of Austenite that will dissipate over 1130K.

Thermocalc notes:

One Axis Equilibrium Template = Property Diagram

Diffusion simulation do not need to set the composition, this varies with distance.

To determine phases present, do a simple equilibrium calculation, plot renderer to show the phases
of interest, for given T.

Cloning of diffusion calculator: simulation has to create the region to allow us to further detail (other
plot options)

Austenite will dissipate over 1130K, non-isothermal simulation has to be run with single region
-Austenite. To get a long-equilibrium diffusion: set longer time at same temperature of the final
temp.
