A saying no. 5 of the Holy Prophet on page no. 2 in the booklet ‘Blessings of Salat
and Salam.’ He said to a person performing Salah followed by the glorification of
Allah and the recitation of Durood: “Make supplication, it will be answered; ask
for, it will be granted.”
Today is the 4th night of the month of Ramadan, 1440 A.H. Multitude of lovers of
Ramadan are observing I’tikaf here in the global Madani Centre Faizan-e-
Madinah, Karachi. A congregation is being held. You can ask questions but it is not
necessary that I give you a perfect and complete answer to each and every
question. If I know, I will try my level best to answer. If you find me erring, rectify
me then and there. You will not find me sticking to my point of view by taking
support of ifs and buts, rather you will find me rectifying myself and thanking you.
Special participation of Pak Yusufi Cabinah is going to be witnessed today in this
congregation which is from district Jhawarian, Sargodha and we will also see Pak
Rehmani Cabinah which is from Mithi, Sindh.
We have Islamic brothers from Faisalabad as well, Mash***.
Let’s see what people observing I’tikaf have to say.
There are three Fard of Ghusl. First: Take water in your mouth and you shouldn’t
just wet your inner lips and spit water out. You have to circle it inside your mouth
and pass through every part inside your mouth. Second: You have to inhale water
in your nose. Then we have third Fard: You have wash the whole body.
I used to go somewhere else. Someone used to invite to come here but I would
refuse. Now when I am here, I am feeling glad. I wasn’t planning on coming here
but my friends and brothers had already deposited money and bought the ticket
and wanted me to come here. I refused and asked them to send any other friend
but they insisted a lot. Faizan-e-Madinah is near to my home but I never visited. In
Faisalabad, people used to ask me to visit Faizan-e-Madinah but I would give an
excuse that I didn’t have time. Now Insh*** I will go there on every Thursday. If
Madani Channel used to be there on television, I wouldn’t find it interesting
rather I would change the channel. I have made an intention to watch no other
channel but Madani Channel.
People are standing in a queue to have Sahri with Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat. They
are eager to have Sahri with him. No matter how many times you appear in the
court of the pious man of Allah, it wouldn’t be enough. It is the blessed Sunnah to
sit like that and eat. Lay down your left knee and keep the right one up. It is the
blessed Sunnah of the Holy Prophet ********.
Where did you learn all of this?
Shaykh teaches us. Shaykh asked us to use left hand to hold and right hand to
break. My family members were worried, my friends and relatives were also
concerned as I had done everything which I shouldn’t have. I didn’t know the
correct method of Salah. I didn’t know Sunnah-compliant way of making Wudu. I
didn’t know method of Ghusl. I have learnt a lot here; I am feeling good to be in
the court of the spiritual guide Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat.
I wanted get married in Malaysia but my mother didn’t allow me and also said:
“You will not be able to balance life here and there.” Therefore, I came back to
Pakistan. Then my mother said: “You have whole life to earn. Do one thing,
observe one-month I’tikaf and become Salah performer. It would be enough for
me.” So I am here, I would like to meet my spiritual guide. I swear to Allah,
yesterday a miraculous thing happened. My spiritual guide was sitting ten steps
away. I cannot explain how much I cried yesterday. I was crying and I wasn’t able
to control it.
You were watching your spiritual guide then why did you cry?
There was a reason. It has been 12 years since I am living in Karachi and he also
lives in Karachi but I never got a chance to meet him.

Mash***! Now let’s move towards the question-answer session.
I have a question. If someone is indulged in love for the world, how should he get
rid of it? Please give me an answer.
Indeed the love for the world is the root of every mistake. It is Hadith that the
love for the world is the root of every mistake. This love isn’t a good thing. As per
Hadith: “The world is dead and the one wishes for it, is a dog.”
If you want to get rid of love for the world, condemn it. For this, you have to read
about world’s bad things, defects and bad impacts. You should get the company
of those who are away from love for the world, Insh*** you will feel progress.
Serving parents, raising children as per Shariah, are not the harmful love of this
world. The love for this world which leads to Hell, is harmful. And Allah knows the
best and His Rasul knows the best!
Dear Shaykh, as the questioner share some facts about the worldly love, we can
take it as love for the world, regarding which you gave Madani Pearls. If we talk
about actual love, if someone starts liking other person, what is your opinion on
this? For instance, if someone falls in love, what should he do?
Allah Forbid! If we say that someone sights for once and start liking the opposite
gender. It could be man or woman. If one sights and falls in love but don’t look at
her again intentionally, if he doesn’t look at her again, contact her, send letters,
give calls, send gifts and rather he goes for permissible way which is Nikah then it
is totally fine. If he cannot get married then wait and don’t go for any
impermissible way. If he remains patience in the love and dies due to separation
then he is martyr.
It is mentioned in Bahar-e-Shariat so I explained its summary. Nowadays, people
don’t take these precautionary steps when they fall in love. Some people perhaps
intentionally try to be in love because they see others in love so they try to
experience it. They consider it fascinating and land in hot water. Their wish to
experience ruins them; some even commit suicide. A love in which two gazes at
each other, hang out at places, meet at secret places, talk over phone, give and
take gifts, these are sinful acts. People talk over phone perhaps due to attraction
or lust may be the appropriate word. All of these acts are sinful and one needs to
repent. Avoid such acts which will be painful but if one remains patient, Allah will
reward him Insh***. Get rid of this lust. Both the genders should get rid of it.
My name is Muhammad Yasir Attari. I am from Faisalabad. I have a question to
Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat. Accounting is the integral part of any business; we also
keep our eyes on others’ matters and cavil at different things. How should we
consider of keeping the record of our deeds?
Subhan***! One normally maintains worldly accounts; people perhaps perform
accounting before going to bed or while offering Salah. Someone cracked a joke:
“Someone missed his congregation, he started crying. People thought that he was
very pious as he was crying over missed congregation. They showed sympathy
towards him and said ‘Do not worry, Allah is the greatest, He is most merciful and
He will forgive. Don’t you worry as you didn’t miss congregation intentionally’ so
he replied ‘I am not crying over missed congregation. The thing is that whenever I
offer Salah with congregation, I perform accounting of my business but today, I
have to give separate time to accounting.’
Indeed it is difficult not to think about business during Salah. You should avoid
and don’t think during Salah. Anyway, if I talk about self-accountability, Sayyiduna
Farooq-e-A’zam ******* used to whip his feet every night and say: “Tell me, what
you did today?”
Even though he is a Sahaba who is a Paradise dweller without a doubt but he was
serious regarding his deeds therefore he used to as himself whether he would
commit any sin, hurt anyone or treat someone with cruelty. Sayyiduna Farooq-e-
A’zam was righteous. Allah Forbid! You cannot expect cruelty from him but he
used think about it; he would hold himself accountable. There is a booklet which
is issued for the people of Dawat-e-Islami which contain Madani In’amat. It is sold
at Maktaba-tul-Madinah. One needs to perform Fikr-e-Madinah. It is our term
which means one should perform contemplation daily. Night time is better for this
as you have to write your day routine and Madani I’namat which you completed.
It is called Fikr-e-Madinah here. One should think about the hereafter, think about
the Madani I’nam which you haven’t done. Think about the Madani I’nam that
whether it was done sincerely or just to increase the number of Madani In’amat
so that people would take me as pious and sincere and think ‘He acts upon so
many Madani In’amat.’ So think whether you did to please Allah. Think like that;
conduct self-accountability lest the Judgement Day’s accountability takes place. I
wish we get held accountable in the world!
If we make rows for Taravih Salah and it has been taking place. Now what happen
is that two to four Islamic brothers leave row then three to four more leave row
and some leave from the front, it disturbs the sequence of the rows. The ones
standing at the back are standing on their spots but some from the front come at
the back and leave Salah as they don’t want to offer. Allah Forbid! I hope no one
discuss such thing but sequence gets disturbed, what is the responsibility of Salah
performers here?
Some go to urinate and some leave due to other reasons; they leave row and then
make Wudu and rejoin the congregation. They just stand wherever they find
space. The problem is, people don’t have knowledge about rulings. To be honest,
we can only seek Allah’s mercy which is good regardless of situation. The one,
who knows rulings, also seek Allah’s mercy. Allah’s mercy will be the reason for
his forgiveness. People who offer Salah especially Taravih Salah, they just offer,
they don’t have knowledge. They don’t know physical and intention related
etiquette. Simple devotees who observe I’tikaf, share their views. ‘I used to be a
grave sinner but now I have reformed.’ They don’t the meaning of reformation.
They share views and also smile and think that they have reformed and are now
on the right path.
He hasn’t reformed. What are you trying to say here? ‘I was in bad environment, I
was bad and committing sinful acts, now I have reformed. I am no more a sinner. I
have changed myself. I left the path of sinners and I have become pious.’ What is
this?
The ones who are pious, don’t call themselves reformed. Can I read a couplet of
A’la Hazrat?
Sure.
Ok.
But you have to recite it.
