June 30 ,1985 Baltimore , Maryland...a legend and the most decorated olympian of all time with a total of 28
olympic medal was born and his name is Michael Phelps.

Michael fell in love with swimming pool, his mother put him through the water at the age of 7.

he was described as the most hardworking swimmer by his coach Bowman..as he never missed training for 5
straight years he trained on christmas he swimmed twice on his birthdays...He was just like a timebomb waiting to
get off..and as a result Michael made a breakthrough by swirling in the United States national swimming team for
the olympics 2000 at an early age of 15.

Athens Olympics 2004 and Beijing Olympics 2008:~

All eyes were set on the 19 years old Miachel Phelps who represented USA in 8 swimming events...he ended hi
tally with the monstrous 6golds and 2bronze which shocked the world off as the new grademark swimmer landed
his feets on the olympic soil...Later in 2008 Michael Phelps made history by winning 8 gold medals in 17 days by
beating his rival Cavic by 1/100th of a second surpassing the record of his fellow countrymen Mark spitz who won
7 gold medals in a single Olympics.

London Olympics 2012:~

Phelps was on the relentless run as he was overcoming every competitor in his way at the age of 27 he won
another 4gold medals and 2 silver making him the most decorated olympian of all time.

Everyone thought that's it ..this is the end of the fairytale but but but there was a huge twist in the tale left...

Through out his swimming career..Phelps personified perfection.18 gold medals, unparallel success...but bubbling
beneath the surface was the complicated relationship with his father who divorced his mother when he was 9 it
was like a dead end street for him...all the medals, world records didn't ease his frustrations..he despised the image
of success he created. After the London Olympics 2012 Phelps announced his retirement...everything was just
finished..he gained 30pounds, he had enough hell lot of a money to isolate himself eventually it lead to
parties,addiction and career breakdown.

In September 2014, Phelps was arrested again, on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding in
Baltimore ,Maryland and as a result, USA Swimming suspended him from all competitions for six months. Rey
Lewis and Michael's girlfriend Nicole motivated Phelps through this hard time...they tried to expose Phelps who he
really was..

As a result Phelps was send to the rehabilitation center "The Meadows" for 45 days.He was out of his comfort
zone, where Phelps worked on his inner demons for the 1st time,he started everything all over again..he read a
book "The purpose driven life" which motivated Phelps about the power greater than himself, about the
purpose..to get back on the right track..which eventually helped him rebuilt his relationship with his dad.

In November 2014, Phelps started training for Rio Olympics 2016 as he decided to make a comeback from
retirement and finish his swimming career on the Uptop mountain peak..3monthe later he asked his girlfriend
Nicole to marry him and in May 2016 he cuddled his creation, his son boomer phelps was born which was the
cherry on the cake.

Rio Olympics 2016:~

Passing through various ups and downs in the past years after 2012 London Olympics,The legend was back at his
feets to surmount his legacy with the added motivation of being "Father Phelps" ..to set an example for his new
born son...as he made a marvellous comeback after retirement and added 5more gold medals and a silver..growing
up his tally to the total of 28 olympics medals, which are absolutely ridiculous numbers, mental!!!!

History was created as the the Legendary champion..who began his career as a champ ended his charismatic
career in a defined fashion with 39 world records and uncountable medals. This blew my mind off it made me
realise one thing in life..u fail, there will be hard times but the one who faces them with hardwork and purpose
surely conquers the dreams they were made for.

Young and cheeky

At the age of 17, Daniyar Kobonov went to the cadet world championship in Denmark and stopped a step away
from the podium, finishing in 5th place among 28 participants. A year later, he first started at the Asian Asian
Championships in Korea and again became the fifth.

A year later, the Kyrgyzstani went to the World Youth Championship in Uzbekistan. Can you guess what place he
took there? Yes, again the fifth place, one step away from those athletes who have risen to the podium.

A series of failures was interrupted in the summer of 2002 in Iran, where Daniyar first rose to the podium of the
Asian Youth Championship. He took 3rd place in the weight category up to 69 kg and won a bronze medal.

First start at the Asian Games

In the fall of 2002, Daniyar was 20 years old, and he went to his first summer Asian games as part of the Kyrgyz
national team. Those Games hosted the Korean city of Busan.

The draw was unfavorable to the Kyrgyzstani and sent him to the same group with the two-time world champion,
the two-time Asian champion, the European Championship medalist Mkhitar Manukyan from Kazakhstan.
However, Daniyar was ready seriously and defeated his distinguished opponent.

Then followed the victory over Iranian Mehdi Nassiri and the exit to the semifinals, where Kobonov defeated Kim
Yun Mo from North Korea.

In the decisive meeting on October 3 at the Yangsan Gymnasium arena, a Kyrgyz citizen became acquainted with
the carpet owner Kim Ying Sub and lost to him, stopping a step away from the golden step of the podium.

20-year-old Daniyar Kobonov failed to win the Asian Games the first time

Attempt number two

The next 4 years for Kobonov were held with varying success: he twice remained without medals at the Asian
Championship, but managed to qualify for the Olympic Games in Athens, where he took 14th place.

A year later in China, he first climbed to the highest step of the podium of the Asian Championship.
In 2006, the year of the Asian Games, Kobonov again reached the final of the Asian Championship, but lost there
and recorded silver as an asset, losing in the final to an athlete from Iran.

Having won the bronze tournament of the Grand Prix series in Azerbaijan and taking 9th place in the World Cup in
China, Kobonov went to his second Asian Games in Qatar. He was 24 years old, and behind his back was a great
experience from the fusion of victories and defeats.

In the 1/8 finals, Kobonov defeated Ali Khadim from Iraq, and in the quarter finals he confidently figured out the
2001 Asian champion Taichi Suga from Japan.

And here is the semi-final bout. In the rivals Iranian Abedinzadeh Chadorchi Davod. The one that Daniyar lost in the
2006 Asian Championship final in Almaty. Kobonov did his best to take revenge, but in the first round, with an
equal score of 1: 1, the Iranian won. In the second round, Daniyar simply destroyed his opponent with a score of 7:
0 and restored the balance in the meeting - 1: 1. The winner had to be identified in the third round.

Daniyar was strong and even managed to put an opponent on the shoulder blades, but here the judges intervened,
who did not give the carcass. The Iranian won the third round 2: 1 and with such a score celebrated the victory in
the duel.

Then Kobonov fought for bronze with Denis Zdorikov from Uzbekistan and won, taking the final 3rd place.

Two months after the triumph in Russia, Daniyar went to his third Asian Games in China, where he could not go to
the Olympics. He was already 28 years old, and after the World Cup bronze he had nothing to fear. Kobonov's main
rival was himself.

On November 22, at 9:30 am Beijing time, a tournament in Greco-Roman wrestling in the weight category up to 74
kg started at the arena of Huagong Gymnasium.

Kobonov started with a victory over the Indian athlete in the 1/8 finals and in the next round got to the current
Asian Games winner Roman Milyushin from Kazakhstan. In a bitter struggle, Kobonov managed to win with a score
of 2: 1 and passed on.

In the decisive battle, the Kyrgyzstani was opposed by Tsukasa Tsurumaki from Japan, but Kobonov was already
unstoppable. He skated around the rival (1: 0 and 5: 0), was able to win himself and all rivals, and for the first time
in his career, from the third attempt, climbed to the highest step of the podium. This evening in the arena of
Huagong Gymnasium for the second time in the history of the Asian Games sounded the anthem of Kyrgyzstan.
And for the first time in honor of the victory of Daniyar Kobonov, who deserved this victory like no other.
